    "Works very well"

    September 8, 2010  |   By waterbro

    Version: Process Lasso 3.84.7

    Pros

The Program definitly does reign in resource heavy programs. It will smooth out your pcs performance.

    Cons

It will slow down graphic intensive programs, the very ones you may need left alone, But Its easy to open from the system tray and raise your programs performance level back up. The interface is a little confusing and takes some getting use to.

    Summary

Bottom line, if your willing to pay the price Process Lasso will get the job done.

"Fewer delays and crashes when runninghungry programs"

    March 24, 2010  |   By tomwildy

    Version: Process Lasso 3.82.3

    Pros

Handles problems caused by memory hungry software without fuss.
Lets you close/restart/dump software causing problems
Easy to see how computer is performing, what causes difficulties, what is running.

    Cons

Hard to think of any at this time.

    Summary

Like it because it is useful (far better than Task Manager), flexible, does what it is supposed to and can be set up as you wish. Have not used Task manager since I downloaded Process Lasso!

    "Interesting, but no thanks!"

    January 25, 2010  |   By xispto

    Version: Process Lasso 3.80.1

    Pros

It gives very important informations about running processes. I like iut, but...

    Cons

After a few minutes of trying (yes, minutes!) the program started to kindly remember me that it would be nicear to buy it... I don't want to see that pop-up every time! I prefer the Process Explorer from Sysinternals. It's free and not annoying...

    Version: Process Lasso 3.80

    Pros

I like it,when 1 process lags or hangs up you don't have to open your task manager to fix it.Love the game mode.Let's processor or processors if you have two concentrate on your game program.

    Cons

    None as of yet.

    Summary

Great program if you unsure of what processes you need to have running at all times.
    Keeps all processes in check.
Stops freeze ups caused by a process.
Can set it to go into Game Mode by game shortcut.
I would recommend this to anyone who plays games on there computer or just wants a more responsive system.
Before I installed Process Lasso I had to go and lower priority's on a lot of processes to play some of my games now I don't.

"Great utility to prevent PC lags, stalls, etc.."

    December 28, 2009  |   By gacky33

    Version: Process Lasso 3.70.6

    Pros

When a program is eating all your CPU cycles, it can prevent it from bringing the whole system to its knees.

    Cons

Its user interface is very technical.

    Summary

A great utility. The CNET Editors comment on the graph is misleading. The descriptions of the graph lines are shown on a legend. They probably had too small a screen to see the legend by default. One of the lines indicates system responsiveness, and that is supposedly a unique feature (according to the author). I've not seen it elsewhere. Anyway, GREAT utility - highly recommended.

    Updated on Dec 28, 2009

Oh, and what Bitsum calls 'ProBalance' is the big key feature. It temporarily lowers the priorities of out of control processes. The product Process Tamer also does a similar thing.

    "you don't need this"

    December 23, 2009  |   By maidensolo

    Version: Process Lasso 3.70.6

    Pros

The system task manager has a process tree where you can manually prioritize the amont of cpu usage. Just right click in 'proceses' next to the application you want to alter.

    Cons

    i did not try this
I've had to reformat my hard drive a few times lately due to various downloads. I'm more cautious these days.

    Summary

Do it yourself . You have the ability already without having to download anything.

    "convincing..."

    December 12, 2009  |   By cha0s_necr0mancer3797

    Version: Process Lasso 3.70.6

    Pros

if you have a lot of running applications on your computer, your computer won't get too slowed down if you have process lasso running. it'll prevent a hang altogether!

    Cons

boot time's a different story, though. process lasso might not prevent your computer from hanging if there are many memory-hungry applications running, though your computer may respond after quite a while...

    Summary

overall, a great utility if you're disappointed in RAM optimizers and their kind. best for low-spec systems with some heavy important apps running. the game mode's a plus!
