You will not regret it. The price is not high as I hear some complain. It is well worth it. -

-Great Addons (iOS Remote and Stage Display Apps)Cons
-Certain features are mac only
-Not as 'easy' as other software but worth the time investmentSummary
It's a great software for running services and multiple environments. If you're willing to put in the time to watch some tutorials you can get a great deal with site licenses.

"Reliable, Powerful, and Diverse"
Version: ProPresenter 3.5.1
Pros
Variety of media and HD video supported, ease of song import, video backgrounds and DVD management, OS X integration.
Cons
Expensive Bibles, lack of organizational tools for media library
Summary
I think if you gain familiarity with the program, it handles anything you could need in your worship service. Seamless incorporation of a variety of media elements, and easy importing of CCLI worship songs makes prep a breeze.
It seems to be a big deal to some reviewers that PowerPoint files aren't natively supported in ProPresenter. That seems like a non-issue for us, however. Even programs that support .ppt files usually screw up the animations or transitions or images or something. You can run PowerPoint or Keynote without even closing ProPresenter. Just hit "show slideshow" from a menu and it overrides ProPresenter until you end that show. We don't even think about it anymore. -
"Pretty but utterly useless"
Version: ProPresenter 3.5.1
Pros
It runs on a Mac, It looks nice.
Cons
Unintuitive, Won't import powerpoint or keynote presentations. Awkward method of adding slides.
Summary
I have to completely disagree. ProPresenter has a very pretty UI but the elegance is only skin deep. This application is the most UNMac like application I have ever used. Everything I attempt to do by intuition is fraught with disappointment. I've been doing technical and application support for the Mac OS for over a decade.
The Media management is useless. I've tried to make folders and organize media into them. Doesn't work. I have yet to understand the differences between Library, Media, Backgrounds, DVD clips, etc. and why they're in 2 different places. I cannot import a Power Point or KeyNote presentation (they have to exported first as individual pictures). Then when you do import the pictures, the come in reverse order!
You cannot save a presentation on one machine and run it on another. You cannot (for security purposes) run PP on a different account on the same machine for work you did on your own account.
For the Macintosh bigot that I am I would rather use a windows application like MediaShout than suffer with this application.
Now leave me alone, I need another beer to get me through this. -

This is a great app.
It plays all movies very smoothly!
Now also with a countdown that works flawlessly.
Beautiful interface.
New also DVD support - unencrypted ones work great, encrypted ones play but I can not create clips with them. Don't know if that is a bug?! -

"The ONLY option for lyric presentation in worship"
Version: ProPresenter 082704
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been involved in video production with 7:22, the Passion Experience Tour, Steve Fee, and North Point Community church for over a year now. My producing experience has spanned the last 6 years.
ProPresenter is absolutely the BEST software I have seen for presenting lyrics during worship. I travel as the video guy with Steve Fee (7:22/Passion Recordings), and he does not normally use a set list, as he prefers to follow the Lord's leading in and out of songs. With any other program besides PRO, I would be sunk. However, PRO allows me to run lyrics on 1 machine, video loops on the other (both fed into a video mixer) at the same time without any trouble.
I also love the fact that you can email the development team with what you would like to see in future releases--and they respond! I personally have made about 5 suggestions as to what I would like to see in the program, and they have all appeared in future releases. And the updates were free!
The truth is, if you want to be serious about video--Macs are the way to go. And if you want to be serious about lyric presentation, ProPresenter is the way to go. -
"This changes EVERYTHING!"

Summary

Unlike the previous poster, I did NOT research other programs that do similar things to ProPresenter. Why? Because I have enough people that I come across each day who USE those programs, and when I show them ProPresenter their jaws hit the floor in disbelief.
This program will change the way you prepare for Sunday mornings from a video standpoint. No more hours wasted on typing in that new song and getting every slide formatted just right... or trying to figure out what to do when your worship leader says "I just feel led to sing ____________ right now... won't you join me?" Every song is just a click away, and yet ONLY if you need them to be! This program is wonderfully organized, easily run, and maybe most importantly... easily TAUGHT. If you need to build a team to run words and video elements in a hurry, ProPresenter will be your best friend... it's INCREDIBLY simple to learn!
And make no mistake about it... worship leaders will be HUGE fans of this program, too. There are few things worse than that feeling of looking out in to the crowd and realizing that NO ONE is singing, because NO ONE knows the words to the song YOU are trying to lead... and when it's a song you felt LED to add in... that can be discouraging! With ProPresenter, you'll know those words are going to be up there, prompting those who need the words to sing along!
As a user of ProPresenter for nearly 3 years now, I can say with great confidence that this is an EXCELLENT PROGRAM. And, based both on MY EXPERIENCES, AND the responses I've seen and heard from folks who use OTHER PROGRAMS, it's clearly the BEST choice out there... and it just keeps getting better all the time.
