Version: Prism Video Converter 1.30
"Not very well designed and you always have to reinstall"
Pros: It does convert video files, but if you don't spend a lot of time clicking around to tell it precisely where you want the files to be placed you may spend a lot of time hunting around for your output files. Not very elegantly designed.
Cons: You will have to constantly reactivate and re-purchase this software. Your activation will expire and they make you repurchase, and repurchase this software again and again. If you upgrade, your old activation expires and you have to repurchase.
Summary: They make their money by selling the software over and over again to the same person, forcing them to upgrade, reactivate, repurchase and it's like you're on a treadmill. Never mind just paying for the software and using it -- you are going to have ... read more

"Converts quickly. Not too many conversion formats."
Pros: Prism Video Converter does a quick and efficient job converting video. Easy to use.
Cons: The free version doesn't convert to some of the more popular formats.
Summary: I found Prism Video Converter to be very user friendly. It did a good job converting to a variety of formats. However, the free version does not convert to some of the more popular formats that video downloaders may want for DVD burning. The good ... read more
