"A great alternative to paper"
Pros: It's free, and has excellent quality output.
Cons: Don't care for the way it pulls web browser file names.
Summary: It's fine for what it is - I'm sure the Pro version of the product is a lot more useful, and probably a lot more configurable. read more

Version: PrimoPDF 5.0.0.19
Pros: As simple as it gets; Free; Very good quality page output
Cons: Had some weird header and footer cutoff issue with certain Excel pages that pushed out onto the edges of the page, which didn't appear as such in preview and printed to paper from Excel properly
Summary: Installation was a breeze. The fake print driver is instantly usable. Printing to it brings up a simple window with option to select an output file. Not a great deal of choice on output options (essentially, two quality levels) but I'm not so sure... read more

"Didn't get the entire document"
Pros: Adobe Reader 8 opened it (which is more than it would do with Solidata's writer). That's about it for Pros.
Cons: 1) Print Preview showed 3 pages, When Reader opened it there were 3 pages, but the first was blank.
2) During the install it asked if I wanted to install Internet Explorer 8 also.
3) Saving (printing) takes more steps than I want. -

"best image quality out of 4 free PDF printers"
Pros: the absolute best image quality
Cons: none, everything is perfect
Summary: I tested 4 free PDF printers: PDF creator, Bullzip PDF printer, PDF995 and PrimoPDF. Primo's quality at the highest "prepress" setting blew the others away. Primo even gives you quality options while the other PDF Printers don't give a image quali... read more

Version: PrimoPDF 5.0.0.19
Pros: Works as advertised....I've experienced no problems thus far.
Cons: Nothing negative at this time.
Summary: Although I've only been using PrimoPDF for a couple of weeks, I'm really feel fortunate that my son turned me on to it. Before I was printing documents then scanning and converting them to PDF. I'll be using this for quite some time. read more
