Publisher's Description
From Kaylon Technologies:
Powermarks allows users to avoid the entire folder and hierarchy system, yet still create, find, and browse large collections of bookmarks. Powermarks works with all the popular browsers: Netscape, IE, Mozilla, Opera, and NetCaptor. It includes notes, descriptions, and keyword fields for each bookmark. It has flexible import and export capabilities, synchronization with browser bookmarks, autosave, undo, macro, copy and paste, and global hot key features. It also has intelligent Web page status checking, proxy and HTTP 1.1 support, and more. In addition to the IE toolbar, this update includes two configurable system tray icons to enable easy integration with Netscape, Opera, NetCaptor, and Mozilla.

"Fast one touch favorites database like no other."
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Pros
Fast, one click, type ahead bookmarks database. Forget about folders or organizing favorites. I have 17,000 bookmarks available in seconds as you type in the name or any key words.
Cons
Tray or IE PowerMarks Icon's once in a while disappear from the bottom tray or from brower window menues, but easily corrected or renewed.
Summary
The quickest, and most value program I have ever purchased. Forget each browsers favorites scheme or differences. Syncs between computers and laptops. Forget how you use to save or orgainizer favorites in folders etc. I can be at any one of 10's of thousands of favorites sites, downloads, music, images in seconds. Terrific, fast, reasonable, and effective bookmarks, favorites, or sorting URL's web addresses by date, time, alphabetical, last visited, or any sorting order. PowerMarks is a pleasure to use, and has worked for me and my home office for since Windows 98 first come out, and works fine on XP and Vista. Everone who I have recommended this program too agrees, and don't know what they would do without it. Super effective if your a Webmaster, Moderator or need fast acces to any of thousands of sites, URL's or web addresses within a second or two while typing part of the name or key words.

"Good but No Longer Supported - Doesn't work with FireFox"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Pros
Very powerful and easy to use flat file bookmark manager.
Cons
Crashes FireFox. Hasn't been updated for a long time.

"Used to be awesome, needs an update"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Pros
Great for organizing and finding zillions of bookmarks. Handles synchronizing between multiple computers.
Cons
The author hasn't worked on the product in years and it's showing its age. Desperately needs a new version. Does anyone know of a better product?

"Pretty good program, terrible support & release history"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Pros
Lightening fast live-search reducing choices on the fly. This allows for finding bookmarks very quickly, even those for forgotten keywords.
Cons
Author is very slow to respond, and usually does not reply without being pestered. Updates are very rare. Development has essentially stopped, making this program less useful and incompatible with newer browsers.

"Nice Program"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Pros
I think it is a very unique program that makes it nice to use different browsers and not worry about what you bookmark.
Cons
It took 5 hours to get an e-mail response from the developer. I guess it could be worse. I found the answer in the help.

"Invaluable"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Pros
I started using this program several years ago and it's one of the first programs I install when I'm upgrading computers.

"Customer disservice"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Pros
A great product until it started working at snail's speed.
Cons
I paid the license fee. When the speed slowed down, I requested tech support several times. I've sent emails to sales as well. I'm totally ignored. It doesn't matter how good the product is. If they don't respond to legitimate requests from a paying customer, then do NOT buy it.

"Do they exist???"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Summary
I paid for two Kaylon products. The money was collected by North Star Solutions. Kaylon has not sent the keys and has not responded to 5 e-mails. North Star Solutions does not respond to e-mails asking for information about the company. I believe I've been dudded.

"Doesn't work, no support"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Summary
The database on Kaylons server works; that's ok. However, the download and sync to the browser DOESN'T. Kaylon DOESN'T do ANY support. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

"Works with the latest browsers"
Version: Powermarks 3.5
Summary
Great Product. Especially the fact that it works with Mozilla. Used to use Compass but that product, while good and stable, is in serious need of an update. Powermarks doesn't use a folder hierarchy and that initially bothered me, but you don't need folder and you can define Tagged Keywords to provide a high level of categorization and add as many keywords to each URL to put URL in multiple categories. I think keywords work better than a foler hierarchy. Try it...you'll like it.
