"WinXP SP2 Incompatible"
Version: PowerZip 7.2 Build 4003
Pros
Quick Installation
Quick Uninstallation
Cons
After installing this software, WindowsXP SP2 Desktop crashed, leaving no desktop visible. After restart any file manipulation (Right click, move, copy) caused an entire Explorer.exe freezeup. I eventually found a note about this software on Google, and uninstalled, the problem ceased right away. Without knowing I may have needed to reinstall Windows. Do not install PowerZip 7.2 Build 4003 on WinXP SP2

"OK for small tasks, seriously flawed for heavy users"
Version: PowerZip 7.2 Build 4003
Pros
Friendly UI, nicely presented interface, most likely functional for smaller or less complex "flat" archives
Cons
Inability to handle expansion of tars containing unusual characters; after clicking "Continue anyway" 100+ times (no way to say 'always answer this way') it still managed to fail only partway through expansion. Browsed configuration to see if default actions could be set (ignore/continue) and was seriously disappointed by simplistic configuration. Downloaded and installed 7-zip instead, it handled my large, complex, heirarchial archives just fine with no comparable errors (and it has no limitations).

"Problem solved."
Version: PowerZip 7.06 build 38
Pros
easy to use. I had some RAR files, but I wasn't able to open them up for a while. Now I can see what's up.

"Nice interface, nags for registration"
Version: PowerZip 7.06 build 38
Pros
The 'wizard-enabled' interface is default, but I suppose you can change that. I downloaded, installed and used this program for the sole reason I had a .zip file mailed to me that was created using the "deflate64" compression module, but it seems to be very good at any .zip-related task.

"I like it"
Version: PowerZip 7.06 build 38
Pros
Useful and functional. It's my favourite.

"Didn't unzip the needed files"
Version: PowerZip 7.03
Summary
I needed this for tar files, and it wouldn't open any of the files, saying that they were -all- corrupeted. I uninstalled it after that, so I don't know how it works on anything else.
