This muscular disc-imaging utility is not kidding around (though we thought the demo might be). PowerISO lets you mount virtual drives, create bootable discs, and generate CD and floppy images. It supports a huge number of image formats, including standard ISO and IMG files as well as files created by almost all popular disc-burning programs such as Nero, CloneCD, and Alcohol120%.
Our one major caveat is that the trial version doesn't let you create images larger than 300MB (most CDs hold 700MB), making it much harder to fully test the product. On the other hand, the trial period is unlimited, so some users may actually prefer this arrangement. Trial restrictions aside, we think PowerISO makes a good pick for intermediate to advanced users.

fantastic system enabling me to play my games, load other programs without having to to search for the discs or take time to load each and every one of them. I can load several at once if I wish.

You get to improve Windows performance by wiping out your hard drive and re-installing Windows to be sure you're rid of the virus.
Cons
You should reload Windows from a new formatted hard drive to be sure you're free of the viruses installed by this download. Shame on CNET. CNET has been trusted for a dozen years.
Summary
It has a virus. I wish Microsoft would include an ISO tool in Windows. ISO tools are appropriate to an "operating system" while word and text editors and graphics programs and email programs are not. Microsoft quit delivering fluff in your operating systems and deliver an operating system so we don't have to download this virus infected software from sites like CNET. Because of my long trust for CNET, I avoided any other potential ISO mounting software for VIsta and finally broke down and downloaded this from CNET. If it hadn't been on CNET I wouldn't have downloaded it. Well, now I know not to trust CNET any longer. They certify the software to be spyware free but not virus free.
Granted, I only know about this because my anti-virus caught this one but, since the software had one virus, how do I know it doesn't have more that my anti-virus did not find? The only option is to reload Windows because you can never be sure otherwise.
Remember, CNET, you can't just scan a file you publish; you have to install the file and run the program and scan the computer. Any installed program can easily go over the Internet upon installation and get anything it wants.
Shame on you for spreading this virus. -

Support for just about every popular image format, including compressed images with a very predictable user interface. Most importantly, there's not a lot of unneeded junk that sucks up resources on your PC.

The user interface is simple and easy to use, but not quite as polished as Media Creator.
Summary
Frankly, I'm so sick of CD/DVD authoring products that load your machine with unwelcome components that drain resources and introduce compatibilities that I found PowerISO very refreshing. It's exactly what I need, and no more.

Summary
CDs and DVDs are a real nuisance and hard drive space is cheap. This software performs a service by allowing users to ignore the rules of idiot software that requires you to run it with the media in the drive. I suppose it would also be handy for traveling without the need of packing DVDs and CDs (although I have never used it for this purpose).

DVD only plays on my computer, not DVD player. It may be my DVD player, or I may need to figure out what I did wrong. I'm new to DAA files and this program.. please post if you know what i did wrong.
