This muscular disc-imaging utility is not kidding around (though we thought the demo might be). PowerISO lets you mount virtual drives, create bootable discs, and generate CD and floppy images. It supports a huge number of image formats, including standard ISO and IMG files as well as files created by almost all popular disc-burning programs such as Nero, CloneCD, and Alcohol120%.
Our one major caveat is that the trial version doesn't let you create images larger than 300MB (most CDs hold 700MB), making it much harder to fully test the product. On the other hand, the trial period is unlimited, so some users may actually prefer this arrangement. Trial restrictions aside, we think PowerISO makes a good pick for intermediate to advanced users.

Version: PowerISO 3.6
Pros: I have a HP printer, copier, scanner and the software CD wasnt useable so I thought. I used BadCopy Pro it couldnt extract all files on the CD neither could Virtual CD 8.0 So I thought I would give PowerISO 3.6 a try, it copied every file and folder. I was using the trial version and the software CD was a 369MB CD and I made a ISO image file burned it to CD now I can use my software CD again. I had to purchase PowerISO 3.6 it did that good of job on some of my other CD's also.
Cons: None at the moment all is good.

"Does Just About Everthing I Could Ask For"
Pros: This great little program supports almost every image file format, ranging from Alcohol 120% to Nero. It certainly removes the headaches I used to get from other programs. It also converts any format to .iso and others. I have officially switched from MagicISO to PowerISO because I tried burning a bootable ISO file with MagicISO and when the burning was finished, the computer not only didn't recognize any files on the disc, it also didn't boot up. When I burned the SAME image file in PowerISO, it booted up great and the computer recognize the files fine. Not only this, but PowerISO recognizes and works with more file formats than MagicISO.
This is worth the money, in my opinion. However, their program icons could use some work. They look like they came right out of Windows 95. =P
Cons: The program icons are ugly, but that really has nothing to do with how good the program is. =) I have no gripes with this application. It's great.
