This muscular disc-imaging utility is not kidding around (though we thought the demo might be). PowerISO lets you mount virtual drives, create bootable discs, and generate CD and floppy images. It supports a huge number of image formats, including standard ISO and IMG files as well as files created by almost all popular disc-burning programs such as Nero, CloneCD, and Alcohol120%.
Our one major caveat is that the trial version doesn't let you create images larger than 300MB (most CDs hold 700MB), making it much harder to fully test the product. On the other hand, the trial period is unlimited, so some users may actually prefer this arrangement. Trial restrictions aside, we think PowerISO makes a good pick for intermediate to advanced users.

Version: PowerISO 3.3
Pros: User friendly apperance and configurable for everybody. Covers a good range of image formats and mounts/burns them all successfully. Tray icon is nice and not ugly and annoying. Context menu integration is good and useful. A stable and functional program.
Cons: Trial version is a little stingy with the 300mb limit considering that there are free options available, and there isn't anything major aside from it's own file format (.daa) to make you want to use this program over another.

"We don't need another iso program"
Pros: it works
Cons: if you need a emulator we already have deamon tools the best emulator so this emulation isn't that great. you want to make a iso you got plenty to choose from like ultraiso. .DAA format is pointless when you have a standerd like iso or you can use .rar to zip up a iso if you need to split it
bottom line : useless junk that should never have been made

Version: PowerISO 3.3
"We don't need another proprietary iso equivalent"
Pros: It works.
Cons: It creates iso images in the proprietary ".daa" format. While it may have some useful features (e.g. it can split images over several files) it would be really smarter to use one of the dozens of formats already existing.
Actually if you sue this software you are going to force your friends to download it too and to install it to his system.
But having more than one virtual device driver is always a problem, as they always conflict one with each other.
Furthermore if your (former) friend uses MacOS or Linux or Win98 he won't be able to use the image at all!
