This muscular disc-imaging utility is not kidding around (though we thought the demo might be). PowerISO lets you mount virtual drives, create bootable discs, and generate CD and floppy images. It supports a huge number of image formats, including standard ISO and IMG files as well as files created by almost all popular disc-burning programs such as Nero, CloneCD, and Alcohol120%.
Our one major caveat is that the trial version doesn't let you create images larger than 300MB (most CDs hold 700MB), making it much harder to fully test the product. On the other hand, the trial period is unlimited, so some users may actually prefer this arrangement. Trial restrictions aside, we think PowerISO makes a good pick for intermediate to advanced users.

Version: PowerISO 3
"Fast, efficient, free? Perfect."
Pros: PowerISO handles all your '.iso' files quickly and effectively. It can create images, burn them to discs, and mount them all in one easy to use interface! If you hate having to insert a CD for every single program, simply create and image, mount it, and it runs perfectly! In addition, you can even network the virtual drives. In other words, you can create an image of your, lets say, favoite software, mount it, share the virtual drive, and access your virtual disk anywhere on the network without having to download it! Plus, it is free.
Cons: You can not create an image larger than 300 MB on th trial, and you can only create four virtual drives.

Version: PowerISO 3
Pros: Before, I was using daemon tool to mount images, isobuster to extract iso files and Winiso to create iso images. Now I just need Poweriso! You can open daa files with it, which is is impossible with daemon tools. This is for me one of the best tool to deal with CD/DVD image file formats.
