Publisher's description of PowerISO 2.7
From PowerISO Computing:PowerISO is a powerful CD/DVD image file processing and file compression tool, which allows you to create, edit, extract, convert, compress, split, and encrypt CD/DVD image files, and mount these files with internal virtual drive. PowerISO supports shell integration, such as context menu, Drag and Drop, clipboard. With PowerISO, you can: process CD/DVD image files, make bootable CD image file; mount image file with internal virtual drive; Compress files and folders to a compressed archive. PowerISO will scan and optimize the files during compression, and thus can have better compression ratio and faster compression speed; Split the archive into multiple volumes; Protect the archive with a password; Mount the archive directly without decompressing. PowerISO virtual drive can mount the compressed archive directly. Version 2.7 supports almost all image file formats.

- Version reviewed: PowerISO 2.7
This muscular disc-imaging utility is not kidding around (though we thought the demo might be). PowerISO lets you mount virtual drives, create bootable discs, and generate CD and floppy images. It supports a huge number of image formats, including standard ISO and IMG files as well as files created by almost all popular disc-burning programs such as Nero, CloneCD, and Alcohol120%.
Our one major caveat is that the trial version doesn't let you create images larger than 300MB (most CDs hold 700MB), making it much harder to fully test the product. On the other hand, the trial period is unlimited, so some users may actually prefer this arrangement. Trial restrictions aside, we think PowerISO makes a good pick for intermediate to advanced users.

Version: PowerISO 2.7
Pros: The compression function works like magic. I use PowerISO to backup my work folder(about 2.6G), the compressed image file is only 230MB!!! Winzip will create an archive more than 600MB. Also, I can mount the compressed image file directly, it only takes one second. No need of decompressing.

"Good but 300 mb is not enough of a trial"
Pros: the full version is easy to use
Cons: the 300 mb trial was not enough for me. there are much better programs out there with more versatility and for cheaper. plus my computer crashed for no apparent reason.
