Even with a few minor inconveniences, this program is great for protecting and compressing PowerPoint presentations. PowerGuard's standardized interface is a piece of cake. Although a drag-and-drop feature is preferable, we were able to add PowerPoint files by browsing, and effortlessly assigned a password to view the presentations and a different one to edit them. You'll be able to determine compression levels and convert the new file into smaller EXE files to be saved on hard drive, CDs, or floppies or for e-mailing. Those granted access to your presentations still need PowerPoint on their systems to view your EXE file along with the password(s). Oddly, PowerGuard requires you to tack EXE onto the end of the filename when saving compressed presentations even though it is defined as an executable file type. The seven days for evaluation are stingy, but PowerPoint users will find the space-saving capabilities valuable.Publisher's description
From Moonlight Software :PowerGuard protects your Microsoft PowerPoint presentations from being modified or copied without your permission. You can add single or multiple presentations into a single executable file. Powerful compression creates the smallest file possible for easy distribution on CDs, floppy disks, or by e-mail. You can pack one or multiple presentations into a single protected exe, run your presentations with one click, and link to other presentations.
