From LeadMind Development:
Good managers know that each minute of work time spent in vain means profit loss. That is why building fast and convenient personnel communication environment is so important, these days. Common means of communication, such as verbal instructions, phone conversations and e-mail messaging, are far from perfection when it comes to delivering short messages to multiple individuals. Internet-based instant messaging solutions are good but they rely on third-party services which makes the entire system unreliable in question. Introducing PopMessenger by LeadMind Software, the complete small to large enterprise level instant communication solution that offers full range of instant communication tools that do not require a dedicated server or usage of third party services. PopMessenger operates as a LAN-based instant messaging system allowing for immediate rich text message and files delivery over corporate network. You can communicate with all the users on the network or choose specific user group (e.g. Level 2 managers) or send private messages. Whether you chat on public or private channel, send text messages or files, you can enjoy maximum security as application encrypts all data transmitted. With PopMessenger it is easy to utilize all aspects of modern instant communication, including user states (Available, DND, Offline etc.), customizable messages history filters and live chat. The application combines power of the latest technological achievements with ease of use and intuitive user interface. It comes with flexible licensing policy and a free trial version.
What's new in this version:
Version 1.62 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
We've used Pop Messenger in our office for nearly nine years. It's a low cost effective solution within our office and via vpn. Actually, the chat gets seldom used, as easy as it is. Files are seldom transferred but also very easy. Customizable.
Can't operate vpn to vpn - or have never figured out how. Would like to see a quick and easy spell check. How about optional interfaces?
Pop Messenger is a great little IM program for our office environment of about 25 to 30 work stations. Over the years, it has come to be an essential aspect of our means of communicating with one another. Setting it up is simple, probably requiring about five minutes for each pc/ work station. Setting up a group so you can send a message to specific persons with a single click is easy. Customizing the fonts and color backgrounds is simple as well. The product hasn't changed over the years much, mostly due to the fact it is easy, straight-forward and fits the bill so well. THis is no-nonsense solution - not very sexy but certainly makes it easy to be up and running and stay that way with almost no complications ever.
