Version: PolderbitS Sound Recorder and Editor 4.0
"Well, well, well well. Another disappointment!"
Pros: Easily splits your tracks. Inserts decent fade-in/fade-outs. EQ works somewhat well.
Cons: This program DOES NOT have a recording volume control. I record my band on cassette to transfer to CD later. Polderbits doesn't have a recording level meter so it records the FULL VOLUME of the cassette. Also, there is ABSOLUTELY no way to insert silence unless you copy and paste it into the tracks (which seems ludacrous to me). Overall...if you have a cassette or LP that is already divided into tracks with silence then Polderbits would be fine, but it does cost $34.95 after 14 days. If you have live recordings and want to insert silence in places without the blaring voulme, then look elsewhere. GoldWave is worse. I'm still looking for a program that beats Roxio's Platinum 6. Roxio's biggest failure is the resources it takes just to start the program. Polderbits, GoldWave and Roxio...you CAN DO BETTER!

Pros: absolutely dead simple to use...and....brilliant results...beats buying USB cassette decks or turntables...forget it...just install this and your off
with built in mic..levelling editors...equalizer & tweaks such as crackle & scratch depression from choked vinyl....I think the results you get from this are ultra cool
your vinyl is re-invigorated and cassettes dragged right up to date....and with the processing power we have these days...you hear your old tunes as you never have...especially thru the home system thru real/monkey or winamp...perfect

Version: PolderbitS Sound Recorder and Editor 5
Pros: This program is absolutely amazing. It allowed to take an old tape from 1976 and record it on to my pc. It then allowed me to remove static, crackles and balance the sound channels. The interface is simple yet functional, and it is an amazing little program. Definately worth the download. The good people at PolderbitS Software truly outdid themselves on this one.

Pros: This thing is fantastic, user friendly, it'll do anything. You have 14 days trial of full access to ALL its features, I needed only 30 minutes and fell in love with it and bought it. very reasonable price considering all that it does.

Pros: The recorder is quite good but the editor is bad compared with the others. So i think it's not worth 37$. 25$ is the fair price.
