Plucky is an application for monitoring the content of many websites at once. There are many programs that do this, but Plucky has a friendly, efficient interface for easily viewing the content of many, many sites. Plucky is multithreaded, which means that the results start coming in almost immediately after you request them. A recent test of 30 sites took a total of only one minute!
Furthermore, you can customize Plucky by adding your own sites (see the bottom of the README for examples). This means you can monitor your favorite message board, local intranet, or most any other site. You can also share bookmarks with your friends by copying (or sending) a copy of the corresponding xml file from Plucky's Reference/Sites folder.
What's new in this version:
- You can now adjust the size of the headline list and description box and it will be saved for the next time you use Plucky. Simply drag on the bar above the description box and it will move.
- Source list is updated when the Source window is closed, allowing for easier testing of new sites. (use the "Refetch Selected Source" menu option)
- Source URL's defined in RSS files are now used in headlines instead of linking directly to the RSS file.
