"Loved 2.0 but have big problems with newer releases."
Pros
Picasa 2.0 was wonderful, so easy to view, edit and organize my photos; in fact I use to recommend it to everybody. I am unable to positively review its latest version.
Cons
Since I updated to latest version, I cannot complete the upload of my photos. It doesn't have the option to upload only certain file types, and as soon as it comes across a mov file extension the program shuts down. It won?t get past this point.
Summary
Restart after it closes (crashes) sends it back into search mode (as it has lost all files it found before) and then it shuts down again. I was a huge fan of 2.0 and wish I had it back, but will continue to periodically try again and again with hope that the newest release will not have the problems I experience. Explaining this to Picasa on their website when I have uninstalled has resulted in no reply or comment.
Found an online location to download the old version 2.0 and I am back to being SUPER HAPPY I have it. Will continue to recommend Picasa to everybody I know, but will specify use of the old version only.
