"One step forward, two steps back."

Pros
PicaView is great for quick manipulation of digital photos, particularly the rotate function.
Cons
The most useful functions are now handled via plugins, which take them one step down the menu hierarchy.
Summary
I had PicaView 1 installed for about six years; there was nothing like it for speedily sorting out camera disks, reviewing without opening an app, weeding out duff photos, and rotating.
Now I've uninstalled it: they've made it less convenient to use because the same functions in v1 take an extra click in v2. What a pain! I now use Directory Opus which has an image conversion tool that does everything I used to use PicaView1 for. PicaView is also not (very) compatible with Shedko Badges and DOpus, so one of them had to go. -
