"great app, wonderful, but it installs with baggage"
Version: PicPick 2.3.2
Pros
one of the simplest, ui-friendliest, quick-to-the-point features and especially free of charge (as in freeware)
Cons
the try icon disappears after a while, and the installers writes a certain "ask.com" application on your computer without telling you about it (shame on you PicPick installer)
Summary
The freebie is great for your average screenshot-taking, screen-measuring (think developers, designers, and the like) but what it disappoints me is that the setup file installs a "ask.com" applications without telling the user about it. I would've had no problem if in the setup process would have been a checkbox asking me if i want that crap, but it doesn't even tells me that it's installing it.
Thankfully my firewall catches this things and i can opt out.
Be careful. Ask.com is not malware to my knowledge (just annoying) but if they didn't tell the world that they install this on user's computers who knows what they'll install tomorrow without telling you?! -

"the best i've encountered."
Version: PicPick 2.2.2
Pros
it has a lot of tools, conveniently placed in the contextmenu of a systray icon.
the best i've encountered, when one hits the printscreen key a simple editor opens with the screenshot loaded.Cons
if start on windows is enabled, the program disapears from systray, but he-s in the process list. also on vista the printscreen button doesn't remain hooked for a program launched with administrative rights.
Summary
the best for this genere

"BEST Screen capture utility and it's free!"
Version: PicPick 2.2.1
Pros
Works like a charm! PicPick is lightweight, loads in seconds, and has easy options for screen capture. With one button, it captures (even can pick subwindowsm too). Has nice automatic facebook or twitter upload. Includes easy picture editor, too
Cons
Can't think of anything. This is awesome. Best part is that PicPick is free.
Summary
Why buy any of those expensive screen capture utilities. PicPick works like a charm. Clearly the best screen capture utility I've ever used. (I even bought Snag-it, but uninstalled that because it hung my computer.) So far with PicPick, I haven't had any problems.

"Small, fast, easy and free, what more?"

Cons

"The best freeware screen capture utility."
Version: PicPick 2.2.0
Pros
Fast load, uncluttered interface. Flexible and powerful output. Excellent integrated editor, including text, arrows, etc. Perfect for simple jobs.
Cons
Can't re-edit items in editor, especially text.
Summary
On the same level with freeware Gadwin 4.3 and FastStone 5.3. Payware would be Snagit, which is full-featured but slow. I own SnagIt but mostly use PicPick for everyday jobs.
