"Fantastic Product! Very Intuitive to use-Great Results!"

    November 16, 2011  |   By sbluce

    Version: PhotoStage Slideshow Producer 2.13

    Pros

I loved working with this program. I found it very intuitive and fun to work with.
Because it is so visual, it made it easy to understand.
I used it to edit a video application for the Amazing Race, if my son and I get chosen, it will be in large part to this program!

    Cons

My only con is that I had trouble getting my last video clip to work properly after downloading it into the program. The visual was not syncing up with the sound. The sound was ending about 2/3 of the way through the video and then the visual continued in silence.
After spending many (maybe 8) hours trying to get this clip to work, re-download it, etc. My son said something about how sometimes the sound can use less space than the visual.
This made me think about checking the setting on the camera used to take all the clips. It turns out that the camera had been accidentally set to the highest quality setting (1080p) instead of the setting where all the other clips had been shot at (720p).
This caused the visual side of the clip to be far larger than the audio. Once I found the problem, I was able to re-size the clip in my Prism Video File Converter to a size that worked.

    Summary

I will continue to recommend this program.
My only suggestion would be to let users know in a conspicuous place the range of video camera settings that are compatible with the program.

    "I wasted my money"

    November 6, 2011  |   By kjhggf87658765

    Version: PhotoStage Slideshow Producer 2.13

    Pros

Making the video is flexible and intuative but ...

    Cons

... I cant get it to save anywhere in any format. Really disappointed. No possibility of getting assistance from the provider. Just can't get it to work and feel very disappointed.

    Summary

Creating part works so well and is clear but if you can't save it it's not much use. Also the forums are not much used but also report this same problem. They should add information about how to solve this problem so we non-techies can use what could otherwise be a nice thing.

    "Wouldn't work for me."

    October 24, 2011  |   By cathead77

    Version: PhotoStage Slideshow Producer 2.13

    Pros

    There were none.

    Cons

    Simply did not work.

    Summary

After I burned my disc it locked my Windows Media Player up 4 or 5 times while I was trying to play it. Also, it would not play in any of my DVD players.

    "Incredible!"

    October 23, 2011  |   By dav_dump

    Version: PhotoStage Slideshow Producer 2.13

    Pros

Very small install size and easy to load
Stable, even on my very old, low spec PC.
Burns to DVD effortlessly, in about 3 hours for a 90 min slideshow.
Quality of slideshow on automatic for DVD size was brilliant.
    very intuative.
This was all with the FREE version, which is FREEWARE!! There appears to be no limitations or watermarks etc!

    Cons

Adding text is quite restrictive - locks on to a slide and you can't change the size.

    Summary

Absolutley blown away with how good this FREE program is.
Very good quality slideshows that work first time, and very easy and quick to produce too.
Couldn't ask for more from a free program. Thank you!!

    "Don't waste your money"

    October 5, 2011  |   By wolfman1

    Version: PhotoStage Slideshow Producer 2.13

    Pros

I liked all the options given and the ability to edit the sound track

    Cons

This program does not create a dvd that will play on all dvd players.
Also, the playback quality is poor. Even using high resolution pictures the pictures become pixelated when played on a tv.

    Summary

I was hoping to find something that was not as rigid as Windows DVD maker and I thought that I found it but the end result was very disappointing. Windows DVD maker has a better quality picture and seems to work on any DVD player. I'm looking for more options than what is given. My recommendation regarding Photostage slideshow is to save your money and get something else. I'm thankful for the "try and buy" option. Make sure you download the freebee first and see for yourself.

    Version: PhotoStage Slideshow Producer 2.13

    Pros

    Very intuitive interface
Extremely flexible - mix slides and videos
Like the "Quick" slide show maker

    Cons

    None observed so far.

    Summary

I haven't used all the features, but the program can make excellent slide shows. Only time and creativity limit you.

    Version: PhotoStage Slideshow Producer 2.13

    Pros

It is very easy even for a novice to make a slide show in all respect.

    Cons

If you add more than 10 clips at a time the serial no is not in squence and there is no option to mend it.

    Summary

Excellent if amendment for the serial no is given
