So easy to use that in 30 minutes I had my video ready to go
Cons
You can't make one photo appear for a longer period, so I had to put 3 of the same image when I wanted that.
It would be great if you could export as flash or directly to youtube.Summary
Easy to use, free and has enough options for the common user. Recommended!

Summary
The auto zoom was nice. The different transitions were great. The was it lead you through the project was fantastic. My project was my newly born granddaughter, and when my daughter and son-in-law saw it, it brought tears of joy to their eyes.

Pros
First and foremost it's free!! Next, even being free it does everything you would want a slide show maker to do. I created a slide show approx 6 years ago (i can't remember what i used) but i do remember that it was no where near as easy.
Cons
I didn't read the instructions so i had to figure out how to do a few things. The thing is, most of the pages look the same so i had to remember where things were.
Summary
Pros continued: Adding music was a snap! timeline showed right where the music would end.
Cons continued: i.e. add pictures page, Add effects, and add motion are all on different pages that look exactly the same. Seriously no big deal.
Bottom-line, if you have to do a slide show take a serious look at this program before you waste your money on something else.

I am giving this program 5 stars because to my knowledge it has the absolute greatest technology when facilitating camera movement. You have complete control over camera angles and close ups. This is a must for making great photo essays.
Cons
THere are some glitches. You really need to work with another program such as windows movie maker to put a professional touch on your slide show. Perhaps my audio file with Photo Story has become corrupted, but the audio plays badly.
Summary
Again, I can't say enough about its ability to emulate camera movements. The interface is really simple once you understand how it works. I've worked with other programs whereas if I wanted to zoom into a close up, I had no control over speed of camera movement, or anything. That is really important with the telling of a story. So this program is awesome because of its ability to do that. I do however hope that upgrades will come with more special effects and transitions. I also hope that they will improve upon the software's cropping function. I would like much more control over my ability to crop a photo..
But other than that, its an excellent program -

The program is straight forward and easy to get yourself started right after you install it. Controls of adding photos, timing, sequencing sound track is all very simple to do.
Cons
The only con is that in order to burn to DISC to be used on a DVD player ) you need to purchase the license from Sonic (Roxio). "DVD for Photo Story 3". Once installed the choice to burn to DVD will appear on the list. Cost $19.99
Summary
The bottom line is that the software is FREE. It works well has never crashed and can take your creative thoughts and ideas and make brilliant presentations or remembrances from digital photos.

This is a very user friendly program and enjoyable to use. The first time I tried it out was a success and the second time I attached a Louis Armstrong song and it was great.
