    "MALWARE ALERT!!!"

    March 22, 2014  |   By gudgen3

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.7

    Pros

    None anymore

    Cons

Do not download!! Contains malware that is next to impossible to get rid of!!!

    Summary

I downloaded this program a few years ago and it was fine, I did a clean install on my HD and decided to d/l this again & this time it loaded malware called the conduit toolbar! Even though i did not want to install the toolbar and set my homepage to conduit, this crap got into my system & bombarded me with pop-ups and I couldn't get clean it all out so I had to do another clean install, thanks alot CNET and I won't be using you're site anymore! Personally I don't think they test these programs anymore and whoever creates these is paying them off to look the other way at virus and malware infested programs!

    "does what it says"

    March 13, 2014  |   By kondor17

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.7

    Pros

With Photos Pos Pro you can easily make collages, photo editing, and it has some nice thumbnails like delete/clone. It's not properly an "easy program", but the most of this category (editing, conversion, etc) are even much more difficult. Probably you need a lot of ram and a good cpu; I've 16 GB and an Intel quadcore and everything works fast and smooth. ANy issue or malware also has been found and to avoid and get additional programs, you have only to select "advanced" installation and not only click ok on every Windows it appears.

    Cons

Layout and inst wizard are pretty old, tutorial and worksheet could be much better, but people it's free and it does absolutely what it promises.

    Summary

Learning curve and a good RAM are needed. Take your time and enjoy.

    Updated on Mar 23, 2014

Correction: it just worked a couple of days. I was so happy that I donated 10 USD and then crashed and had to uninstall it. I wrote an Email last thursday, but any answer or solution atm.

"THIS COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER!!"

    February 11, 2014  |   By Raakil699

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.7

    Pros

Excellent, quick and easy for web-based graphics.. if you are a graphic saavy looking for something that will let u compose very easy graphics for your FB or twitter this is it..

    Cons

DON"T TRY TO USE THIS FOR DESKTOP PUBLISHING.. you will only spend alot of time on a project that will push the limits of software and it will C-R-A-S-H -- and your file will DISAPPEAR or it will come back and be partly corrupted.. Also these is something FUNKY with the layers as an pic u first place locked down as the background and cannot be moved or edited.. same with the crop function.. you must crop and then save the file to lock the crop.. otherwise when u copy and paste -- it will paste the entire pic..

    Summary

This would be a great software but doing any project above 5 X 7 print size your playing with losing your project and alot of time..

    guys FIX THIS..

for those with the malware issue.. PAY ATTENTION when u install don't just click YES on everythingu see.. there is CLEARLY A DECLINE BUTTON ON ALL OF THE SOFTWARE U DO NOT WANT!!!!

    "Love/Hate relationship"

    January 10, 2014  |   By 4xCharmed

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.6

    Pros

It's self explanatory and easy to figure out of you've had no formal training

    Cons

installs adware and toolbars on your computer
makes system hang and needs to be rebooted
uses up a lot of memory. i'll often get an "out of memory" pop up

    Summary

I've been using this for years, so I'm sort of familiar with it, although I know it can do 1000 more things than I've ever tried. However, when you install it, it installs all kinds of adware and toolbars, so you'll have to go back and uninstall all of them.
My biggest complaint is that it crashes and makes my computer hang if I attempt to open more than 2 images (for digital scrapbooking) or if I try creating a mask on one image and try to paste it into another image. It's done that on all 3 laptops I have, so I can only really use it for adding text to an image, which is frustrating. I downloaded GIMP.. which doesn't freeze up, it's just hard to learn

"Encountered a problems from the very start!"

    November 20, 2013  |   By blusky4u

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.5

    Pros

From the looks of things once the download finished downloading I liked all of the available filters and accessories available to me for re-working my images.

    Cons

From the moment I clicked on "Download" my Norton picked up and Alerted me to a Threat! The threat that was identified was dealslider1029.exe) Suspicious.Cloud.9
Thanks to Norton and they're great system protection Norton Immediately removed this threat and my system is still safe and secure. Once this threat was removed and this program was finishing its installation my Norton detects another threat! This time its the Threat Adware.DealPly
Before this program even loaded into my problem free system I am now forced to stop everything I'm currently doing and run all of my security programs for any and all unwanted threats and or viruses. Now I am wondering about this program and its integrity? This user is disappointed from the get go...

    Summary

From the first moment I clicked on Download my Norton picked up and Alerted me to a Threat! The threat that was identified was - dealslider1029.exe) Suspicious.Cloud.9
Thank you Norton! Norton immediately removed this threat.
(I should have right there at that moment aborted this dowload!) This threat was removed and just as this program finishes installing on my system my Norton now picks up on and alerts me to a second threat! This time its the threat - Adware.DealPly I am now forced to stop everything I'm currently doing and run all of my systems security for any unwanted threats and/or viruses.
I now have to decide if I'm going to delete Photo Pos Pro or keep it on my system? It now all depends upon what my Norton and security picks up on once I've re-scanned my entire computer system. I have yet to scan my entire system but, I would advise anyone that's thinking of downloading this program to seriously think about running this. 2 issues right from the very start. Is this a sign on what's yet to come once I start using this program?

    Updated on Nov 20, 2013

I don't know if its worth running if 2 security issues were detected before the program was finished downloading. Is this a sign of whats to come?

    "TOO Complicated"

    November 18, 2013  |   By redlace76

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.5

    Pros

Lots of different options to choose from.

    Cons

It takes too long to figure it out--tutorials or not--and the endless "undo" drives me crazy. By the time I undo six or seven things, I have no idea where I'm at and what I've done--or undone.

    Summary

I'm not a computer whiz by any stretch of the imagination... so this program is definitely not for me... nor for any who just want simple and easy. I think I'll go back to Picasa.

"Does everything I need an Editor and Enhancer to do."

    October 30, 2013  |   By maidensolo

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.5

    Pros

I can improve the WORST looking photo in the world: Out of focus; Backlit;, Too dark, Too bright; Shot poorly. I can fool around and get the wildest special effects and uniquely "me' images that no one else could ever reproduce.

    Cons

There is a learning curve here. Most people criticize this program because they don't want to take the time to learn it. I think it is much easier than adobe photoshop to learn. It is well worth the time it takes. And there are very quick tutorials in the help section.

    Summary

You can fix any photo blunder, make use of special effects or produce art out of images. There is no end to the experimentation and fun. I love this program. It's been my FAVORITE now for 5 years. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

"I enjoy using the Pos Pro it is a pretty good program."

    October 14, 2013  |   By rjhjr65

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.5

    Pros

Easy to use for the most part, and a fun program.

    Cons

Some of the tutorials are a little confusing. I am a senior and although I can figure out most things, the blend curves has me stumped.

    Summary

    Good program

    "Photoshop for FREE"

    August 7, 2013  |   By geneleone

    Version: Photo Pos Pro 1.89.4

    Pros

This is almost a clone of PhotoShop and really a great program. PhotoShop has tutorials but Photo Pos Pro has "tips" that pop up at the start of the program. It's FREE and does everything I need it to do. Further, it checks for updates constantly which lets the user keep up with the latest version.

    Cons

So it doesn't have a tutorial (at least I haven't found one yet) but for the price, who cares? It's very similar to PhotoShop, is easy to use and has a great "help" feature. If that's something that belongs under "cons", then it's an awfully minor non-complaint.
