Photo Album Studio 2.0 (PAS 2) is a powerful suite of applications that provides a complete solution for easily managing and distributing your digital pictures. It consists of the Windows-based Catalog Manager application, PAS 2, and the Java-based viewer application, Easy Album. PAS 2 Catalog Manager is used to create, manage, and build a catalog of albums. Then it can be distributed on media such as CDs and may be published on the Web. The catalog may be viewed with Easy Album. PAS 2 also comes with a freeware license, which serves as the next generation of popular freeware Photo Album Studio 1.0. The freeware license comes with the Java Photo Album (RM) viewer, instead of Easy Album (RM), and can be activated within the application, so PAS 1 users can still use PAS 2 without paying a penny. Version 2 build 128 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

This download is really three programs in one. You can choose to install Photo Album Studio as the individual, professional, or commercial version. After installation, you have to launch the application from the Start menu, as the program doesn't launch itself. The individual version doesn't have password protection or advanced settings, whereas the commercial version has both features and Web publishing. The professional version does not have advanced settings, making the commercial version the most powerful. The program looks and works the same in all versions; you need to form a catalog by creating entries. You can't upload images directly from your scanner or digital camera, though. Aside from that, most users will find a version of Photo Album Studio that meets their needs.
