"Don't you just hate it when..."
Version: PhoneAgent 1.1.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Don't you just hate it when you come across a fantastic piece of software like this is, and you try it out, you fall in love with it, you go to see how much the shareware fee is, and... it's FAR too expensive! This is why people try to use shareware without paying for it.
Ah well, I'll just have to go without this one, but I want it!!!!

"Pretty cool app"

Really a nice and cool application and rather useful as well...! Although I'd only use it every once in a while but it's good to have when needed...
The GUI needs some improvement and there are a few features to be added or to be improved as well though...and it's a little overpriced from my point of view...but it's the best of its kind, for sure...! -
"Fabulous."

An absoulutely amazing piece of shareware at a very reasonable price. This utility is one of those "things" that adds to the joy of using a Mac. I thought I'd never find any software that would knock GraphicConverter off it's pedestal of excellence ... I think I have now. -
"Excellent Piece of software"

it's rare that i ever buy shareware but i have to say PhoneAgent is great, it really picks up where they left off not giving us a mac equivilent of the software included in the t616. Great logical functionality and tons of uses.
the only things i'd want and this would be asking a lot would be some kind of way built into the program to browse and download free games and ring tones, or even simpler create custom ringtones via the composer on the phone. -

Thought I would try T68 and it connects OK and imports SIM &Phone Book. New T630 shoud work well too. Hoping developer will add tab-delimited text import so I can export from Filemaker. -
"Sweet, cool software"

It works as advertised. It connected with my T616 and I was off and
running dropping images into custom themes. This version does not
export photos from the phone but I emailed the developer and he is
working on that feature.
Yea Ha! -
"This app rocks!"

PhoneAgent is the software that completes the Mac OS X BlueTooth and Sony Ericsson T616 experience (T616 is US and T610 is Euro). Combine this application with Salling Clicker and Apple's Own BlueTooth File Exchange and you have a complete BlueTooth suite. Nicely designed application, detailed icon, extremely functional, great manual, outstanding customer support, lots of goodies, plenty of options and easy to use. If you have a Sony Ericsson T616 and Mac OS X, you need this software. -
"VERY impressive..."

... for a first release. Finally a (non-manual) way of creating T610 themes, although as mentioned below the Theme interface is a little cluttered. I like the way positioning the mouse over various elements of the theme, highlights the relevant part within the interface. Needs to have a more accurate theme previewer - the font is wrong and too big, and the icon positions are slightly out.
But overall, excellent for a first release. -
"Pretty neat"

Summary

Nicely built little tool with a lot of options.
The drag and drop file transfer support is what's missing from apple's bluetooth software and this covers it nicely, it's a shame there isn't a nice file browser to see what's on the phone as well as the applie file browser is pretty poor too.
The theme editor is pretty conclusive, though somewhat cluttered at the moment, it needs to be simplified or broken down somehow.
The phonebook is a bit pointless as I use address book and iSync anyway, though it's a shame that the one thing this does do, get the pictures off the phone, doesn't sync up with address book too.
Message composers are nice and feature full, but I'm pretty unlikely to send text messages when I'm sitting at my computer... -
"GREAT... (a little bit overpriced though)"
