"Paid - works at random, hard to get all files back 100%"

    March 23, 2012  |   By Domarius64

    Version: Phone to PC 4.1.4.9

    Pros

Was able to recreate playlists and copied songs faster than iTunes "Transfer Purchases"

    Cons

Worked at random, can't be sure you got all your songs. Crashes.

    Summary

The "Automatic Transfer" button crashes immediately, pointless. Meaning I had to go to the "Music & Video Track Transfer" panel and transfer them one playlist at a time.

Even then, each time I restarted the app I got a different set of playlists to copy - I had to keep restarting to make sure I got everything. And I was never 100% sure in the end. And when you restart it, it forgets what songs are in the library, and will randomly display some songs as not being in the iTunes library when they already are and were only just copied moments ago before the restart. So the Summary page is useless to determine if you've got everything.

Some playlists inexplicably crash the app, so you have to avoid clicking on them when you restart it.

I only rated this 2 stars for POTENTIALLY transferring all my songs and playlists. The rest of the stars were dropped because of the time it consumed, frustration it caused, and doubt I have as to whether I really copied everything or not.

    "Works as advertised"

    October 21, 2011  |   By kstenbch

    Version: Phone to PC 4.1.2.1

    Pros

I took the plunge and bought the whole product. No SPAM came with it. No crapware was downloaded or installed. Anything it offers to download, just uncheck it.It works great. Downloaded everything from my iPod to my new computer after it died very quickly.

    Cons

The trial allows for a limited number of downloads, and is tedious to keep up with and check and uncheck what has been transferred. By the full version.

    Summary

I took the plunge and bought the whole product. No SPAM came with it. No crapware was downloaded or installed. Anything it offers to download, just uncheck it.It works great. Downloaded everything from my iPod to my new computer after it died very quickly. My new computer has had to be reset to factory a few times, and each time I have had no problem reinstalling this program and logging back into my account. My email (gmail) has my password and my product code). It does open iTunes automatically when it starts, but that's because it was made to work with iTunes. This does not add songs to your iPod. It makes restoring your music from your iPod, iPad, or iPhone to your PC or new PC a breeze.

"Buying the product is a walk in the dark"

    September 11, 2011  |   By dschnatz

    Version: Phone to PC 4.0.3.4

    Pros

The trial version worked fine - moved 10 songs at a time and then freezes for 60 secs, but expected that. I thought - hey great, It costs about 5.00 more than competitors, but is nice packaging.

    Cons

Actually was in process to purchase. there was a mandatory add-on of 3.95 to reserve a spot in case you need to re-download the product. I decided to buy the disk for 9.95, but still would have had to pay the 3.95. Tried to un-select it to no avail.

    Summary

This product used to be free - albeit not as many bells and whistles. I don't mind paying for the product - even was going for the 5 user purchase - but don't like being nickle and dimed. It is a download !! no cost to them however many times you download it. You only get one year of updates. I could understand that they might canrge someone the 3.95 if they crash and lost their product registration info to download again. Everyone, even those who purchase the hard copy installation disk, are required to pay the 3.95. I eventually cancelled the purchase to stew over the feeling of being suckered into spending more than the listed price for the product.
    Maybe another day.
    Maybe another product.

    "IT'S A CON"

    July 5, 2011  |   By Guggenmarsh

    Version: Phone to PC 4.014

    Pros

Smooth interface, easy on the eye

    Cons

NOT FREE!!! Tranfers 10 songs, then asks for you to get a registration code costing £16

    Summary

IF it was actually free would give it 5 stars, but is a con, hence the one star rating.

"OK program but look out for spam!!!"

    May 21, 2011  |   By rsabat

    Version: Phone to PC 4.004

    Pros

Relatively easy to use. Performs as advertised.

    Cons

They must sell your e-mail address to every mass mailer on the Internet!

    Summary

I downloaded and paid for the program on a Thursday. By Saturday evening, my Junk filtered folder had been clogged with nearly 500 spam e-mails, many of them duplicates and repeats. It was obvious that they had immediately sold my e-mail address to just about every mass spammer on the planet.

If you value your privacy, or if you just don't want to be inundated with hundreds of useless e-mails DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM!
