"Great Product!"
Version: Phone Disk 1.628
Pros
Can mount any iOS device as disk, and you can now rename any device's mountpoint.
Cons
Can only give a single re-name to all devices, so if you have multiple iOS devices, all of them must share the same mountpoint name.
Summary
The previous version of this app was a great idea, badly executed. But this new version is truly excellent. Everything now works as it should, and I can mount any of my iOS devices as disks. I personally use rsync to make a full backup of each device, and it works flawlessly with Phone Disk, which is AFAIK, the only app on either Mac or iOS which can accomplish that without all kinds of bugs (and I've tried them all). If you tried it before, or even if you haven't, I can't recommend it enough. You will love it.

"Works pretty well, but can't insert workable videos."
Version: Phone Disk 1.673
Pros
I like being able to put photos onto my iPhone, after resizing, of course. Can get videos on, too, but have to use iTunes to do it, and have to severely downsize them. Having a handy place to back up files is a nice feature.
Cons
It doesn't really interface with the iPhone in every aspect. Can't drag and drop videos into the iPhone and photos don't show up as thumbs in the photo menu. Accessing any data using the IOS is very limited.

"Doesn't work at all"
Version: Phone Disk 1.673
Pros
It is free for a limited time.
Cons
Doesn't launch in Snow Leopard
Summary
I open it and it doesn't launch. Doesn't even quit. You just see the opening animation and nothing else. I've installed it twice.

Will not launch on dual G5 with 10.5.8
Dialogue box says: "You cannot open the application â??PhoneDiskâ?? because it is not supported on this architecture."
No good to me.
