"No 64bit support"
Version: Phantom Burner 1.5.1
Pros
The concept is exactly what I've been looking for.
Cons
Installs fine but won't run (get error "Invalid device pointer. ..."). Turns out the issue is incompatibility with device drivers in 64bit Windows. It also looks like all future development from vendor has ceased.
Summary
I can't say much since the product doesn't work on any 64bit environment. You would think that the install would detect an unsupported OS and exit. Judging by the Phantombility website, this was most likely written by a student who has since graduated and now works for a real company. Too bad, this is exactly the software I needed and I haven't found any alternative.

"Great for avoiding consumption of physical platters"
Version: Phantom Burner 1.5.1
Pros
Right click menu. Nothing messy (no systray icon needed). Quietly and effectively does its job.
Cons
Help file is a little anemic. Need more educative material rather than mere overview of relatively self-explanatory user interface. Also, wish it supported the larger DVD format (dual layer?) for highest quality video on longer-run videos.
Summary
Nice product. Used it enough under trial mode to pay the shareware fee and get the full-sized burning capability.

"Works great in iTunes"
Version: Phantom Burner 1.5
Pros
Easy to use. Driver has its own icon in Explorer. Works with iTunes and WMP.
Cons
It does not work in 64-bit Vista. Developer said they are working on it.
Summary
Easy-to-use virtual CD burner. Great for converting DRM protected audio, since most music software let you burn audio CD.
It is super-easy to use. The drive has its own icon and clearly labeled. Right-click to mount/eject/create image. I don't use the configuration app much, since everything works in Explorer with right-click.
Burned audio CD in iTunes, then rip back into MP3. A quick and easy way to convert iTunes audio to MP3.
Also tried in Windows Media Player and works as described.
Worked with all the ISO files I tried.
