"This is why every game should have a good movie director"
Version: Peter Jackson's King Kong demo
Pros
Peter Jackson's King Kong has more cinematic action than any other game ever - more than Max Payne, even more than Call of Duty!
In the first mission, you play as Jack who is a gunsman for his expedition team. Your gun won't do much in this mission though, because the giant rampaging T-Rex is bullet-proof and only yields to throwing spears. Unfortunately, spears would only slow it down so the best thing to do is run!
The sound of rain, rumbling ground and the roars of the T-Rex definately further immerse you into the movie-atmosphere. Once you get hit by the T-Rex, you WILL feel the pain. The screen becoms red, your breathing becomes heavier, and dramatic music will start playing.
Once you play as King Kong you'd worry less about survival. The T-Rexes you'll be fighting will be challenging but by performing the proper techniques, victory is certain. The King Kong mission is much like a WWE Wrestling game except you'll be fighting for your life and the life of Ann. The game will also show you the mightiness and domination of these gigantic monsters. After beating down a T-Rex, King Kong will beat his chest and screech. RAAAAHH!!
The graphics of this game is great, though it may not take advantage of high-end video features. King Kong has great-looking fur. The animations and are simply the best. The T-Rex moves exactly as you'd expect it would, and may even surprise you. King Kong looks just like a wild chimp when climbing and swinging around but can appear to be a ground pounding guerrilla once the fight scenes happen. The enviornment is also very outstanding. The T-Rex is capable of tearing down concrete ruins when angry. As King Kong, you yourself will get your chance to break away at gigantic wooden doors. The water will splash beautifully when fallen on. The fog, sounds, rain, and foliage makes the enviornent a wonderous place.
I hightly recommend this download for anyone. But if you love games that have movie elements, then you have to download!
Cons
Like many current games, performance can be an issue if you don't a very good machine. With an Athlon 64 3000+, GeForce 6600GT 128MB, and 1GB of Dual-Channel Memory, I can run this game with a decent frames per second (probably 40 on the average) at 1024x768 resolution and 2x Anti-Alias.
Depending on what your idea of great graphics is, this game may or may not have very good graphics. There aren't any shader effects, reflection/specular effects, or any sort advanced lighting.

"Wow!"
Version: Peter Jackson's King Kong demo
Pros
This game kicks some serious @$$. Playing as Jack is scary as hell, since the t-Rex you're trying to evade is much faster, stronger, and bigger than you. There are some really close calls, and my heart was pounding through the entire ordeal.
As for the Kong level, it plays much like God of War (to kill an enemy, you must enter a minigame in which you mash a particular button until you either split the T-Rex's jaw open, or break its back) and is even more fun, since you're absolutely huge.
Cons
the only possible complaints I have are the occasional severe slowdown at higher resolutions, but that's probably due to my computer not being entirely up-to-date; and the length of the demo: it's very short, taking just 5 or so minutes to complete if you know what you're doing. Don't let that discourage you, though. This game is so much fun that it more than makes up for it. Download it now: it rocks!
