Version: PerfectDisk 2008
"Not one of the best."
Pros: Many different tools to use.
Cons: Many tools takes away from what it is supposed to do best, defragment the disk. The other items are not that useful. A better defragmenter is Auslogics Disk Defrag. It out preforms Perfect Disk with ease.

Isn't this a non-sequitur?
Sounds to me like you don't really want a "power user" tool, but more of a casual user's tool. That's okay!:) But trying to compare it to a tool whose target user base is the average, non-techie user is not okay. The difference in their flexibility, features, and functions does not make either one "out perform" the other. Unless you have some quantitative benchmarking on various systems to support that view.
If you're wanting a tool that's on more of a par with Auslogics' BoostSpeed, have a look at Raxco's PerfectDisk Rx Suite. It has Optimize Drive, Clean Registry, Reclaim Free Space, Erase Tracks, and Tweak. It can be run at Windows startup to do continuous monitoring. Plus, it has about 80% of the functions/features of PerfectDisk Pro should you find you require some of those other tools you see no practical use for now. -
Perfect Disk is able to defragment the registry, but Auslogics is not, and neither is it any faster.
