"Poor product support--dying utility--Run Away!"

If you don't upgrade every year, your software is unsupported. RAXCO Customer Service Agent Susie Colon on 5/8/2012: "If you are having issues with [Perfect Disk] v11 then please upgrade to 12.5 as version 11 Pro is no longer supported. Once upgraded, try the option again and let me know if the issue still exists."
I paid $50 for PD11Pro less than 2 years ago. Now they disavow all support unless I'm willing to upgrade. Even Microsoft supports their clients better than this.
The broken functionality is Space Management and duplicate file removal.

Good SSDs come with customized optimization software and running third party stuff like PerfectDisk does more harm than good. Looks like the company already sees the writing on the wall and is cutting corners with their loyal user base to try to milk as much money as possible before closing up shop, just like Intuit has been doing to Quicken loyalists since in 2005.
BTW, I have been a registered use of RAXCO products since PD6. -

I have used this software for the past ten (10) years. And, with the current advancements that the company has incorporated into the software, the operations involved in the software have improved significantly. You will not be disappointed with the software. Finally, I would like to mentioned the excellent support that I have received from their support team over the years.

Pros
Yes, it recognizes solid state drives. Yes, you can set it and literally forget it - I do. It knows enough to stop when the cpu is busy and like a good night shift employee, works all night. I like that it is so customizable.
Cons
When it first installs, the choices are bewildering but you need to spend the time poking around in the menu to see everything.
Summary
Worth the money for those who have more than one machine and get the family plan. I'm the only one in the family and it is economical when you own several different computers.

I can do it manually and it's grrreat. I can set it to auto on Sundays, and it's grreat. Whenever I am low on disk space, it will run (on Sundays) and I have the space back... just because of PerfectDisk.

If you want tosave yourself the frustration of trying to keep your HD virtually fragment free, this is the software to buy! The price is great and its light on computer resources! It doesn't hog resources like the competitions.

Has S.M.A.R.T. monitor so you can know if a drive is failing.
More features than previous versions.

Pros
Perfect Disk 12.5 - very easy to use. Once set up - forget it - it runs automatically when YOU choose. No muss or fuss.
Cons
Haven't found any - been using it since 2007. Do not recall any major problems. Had a few questions at times and the Customer Service is fine, fast and accurate.
Summary
If you want a DeFrag program that works behind the scenes once you set it up and does the job fast and accurately this is the program for you. I would recommend it to everyone (and have).

I was looking for an alternative to Diskeeper Server that was full-featured, cost-effective, and reliable - found it with Raxco's PerfectDisk. I've been using it for the last three years and couldn't be happier.
