"Perfect Hype"
Version: PerfectDisk Free Defrag 1.0
Pros
Has a boot time defrag option
Cons
- Terribly slow
- Has no advanced or smart conception how to defrag and the most important - WHAT TO DEFRAG!
- Runs needless processes in the backgroundSummary
I know that is Free version, but in my opinion this program is just one big disappointment. Runs constantly processes in the background (which is rather stupid since it has no ability to make some realtime fragmentation prevention!). Also is extremely slow, and the worst thing - it fights with very big files, trying to place them perfect which is absolutely ineffective regarding of disk performance and the only result of that is producing tons of useless disk I/O activity. Also if you start it again (like me, just from curiosity) - you will see that the time of the whole process becomes even longer and longer, and it deals again with the same super large files... So, the choise is yours... As far as for me - no more "perfect" disk defrag for me, thanks! :-/

"NOT THAT GREAT - USE TOO MUCH RESOURCES"
Version: PerfectDisk Free Defrag 1.0
Pros
none as I can tell
Cons
Takes a long time to defrag (over one hour). No documentation (only on line and not that great). Use a ton of resources.
Does a poorly job on Vista, but OK on XP.
Cannot customize. Poorly written.Summary
Auslogics is hundreds times faster and does the same job using the optimazing option. Laptop start to over heat due stalled HD for a while. They are much better free products out there. UNINSTALLED.

"Ok but better alts"
Version: PerfectDisk Free Defrag 1.0
Pros
Defrags on boot all locked files
Cons
No exclude list
Only defrags by Recently Modified attribute
Wants to consolidate free space on flash media
Can not view contents of selected cluster
If a majority of a large file is fragmented, it will move the larger part to the smaller fragment to consolidate space, instead of move the smaller fragment to the majority of the data.Summary
Stick with Defraggler, or Auslogic, or get the best (IMO) UltimateDefrag 3

"practically killed my PC's performance"
Version: PerfectDisk Free Defrag 1.0
Pros
Does what any regular Disk Defragmenting tool should do.
Cons
Automatic defrag after installation. leaves two running processes after closing the application, and those processes are hidden in the startup routine. Slows the Computer down to where it crawls, without any given reason.
Summary
After an experience like that, I ran System Restore, and restored my computer back to 2 days ago, and it's runs like like a champ again. Never again will I use PerfectDisk, or any product relating to such. Using PerfectDisk is like using MyCleanPC.com: Simple program; terrible results. If you want a decent defrag tool, i'd go with Piriform Defraggler, or Auslogics Disk Defrag.

"Fast Defragging, Improves PC performance"
Version: PerfectDisk Free Defrag 1.0
Pros
Faster than other defrag programs on my 160 GB HDD with Winxp. The speed of my computer was faster on my 10 yr old desktop. I have used other progs that did not improve things much at all.
Cons
None at all !
Summary
No reason not to use it.

"Made my system stall"
Version: PerfectDisk Free Defrag 1.0
Pros
None that I could find.
Cons
Ran slowly without appearing to disrupt other applications. However, once I tried to uninstall it Windows kept freezing. And the Blekko thing is very intrusive.
Summary
Don't download!
