    Version: Pegasus Mail 4.12a

    "Top Program"

by Klamb on March 2, 2005

Pros: More features than most e-mail clients costing $30, $40 and more. Templates, customization, rule filtering, spam filtering, etc. etc. Very stable, fast and reliable. For those who complain because they do not know what to do with all the features: Get something else like Foxmail or Thunderbird. They are easier to use and free, too.

Cons: Takes some getting used to and is not meant for e-mail users getting/ sending one or two mails per day. It's more aimed towards professional use.

    "I still prefer Thunderbird"

by mikeskid on March 20, 2008

Pros: I like the look and features and can configure and receive Fastmail accounts. If Pegasus ever offers the ability to receive other mail accounts, I'd probably uninstall Thunderbird.

Cons: I don't have to read a manual to figure out Thunderbird account setups. Plus, I can configure my AOL, Hotmail, and Yahoo accounts with Thunderbird. And I just don't find it easy to navigate this program.

    "What a pity"

by martinyk on December 20, 2006

Pros: It was my most favorite email client for a very long time. And all good has been already written about it.

Cons: You can not read foreign emails properly. Missing additional encoding. That's why I uninstalled it and apparently no further version will be available. What a pity.

    "A bit too powerful"

by dragonquest on September 18, 2006

Pros: Its sheer power and flexibility is unmatched. Its got so many options its mind boggling to think that this is a freeware product. The address book is quite handy, while the filtering rules are quite a handful. And the best thing about the product is that its stable and functional. Never in my usage have I seen a bug in it.

Cons: The interface is a bit of an overkill. It may be too complex for the new user, and even for experienced ones it takes time to get used to.
