"does what it says"
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
easy to use, keeps you safe
Cons
no way to really know your 100% safe.
-
"DO NOT INSTALL"
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
looked good in beginning
Cons
This failed to work as a firewall, it allowed WIN 7 Maleware through on first day of use. For all those looking for a firewall, LOOK ELSE WHERE!!!! Even ZA with its new downgraded system does a better job.
Summary
Do not get rid of your old firewall, this will not protect your system.

"peerblock is completely useless"
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
No pros, nothing positive about this crap.
Cons
It doesn't work. It either blocks everything or nothing. If I change settings to allow a site, it actually allows every site, it's the same as shutting off the program. If I wanted to block everything I would just disconnect my internet entirely.
Summary
This program is useless garbage.

"Fantastic. Works better than expected."
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
This is mainly a compliment towards the lists available. Does a great job blocking the Anti-P2P IP's that I dislike just due to my philosophies.
Cons
None so far, sometimes annoying to have it update whenever my laptop is turned on but that's due to me having it running always.
-
"Works just fine!"
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
No problems, no complaints!
Cons
No cons, nothing bad to say!

I don't know any cons.

"Excellent for Win. 7"
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
I just started using this about 10 Minutes ago. Unfortunately in this Day and Age we need all the Protection we can get. So far on FF4, I have it set to Block HTTP. And I'm only putting in my list what is allowed access.
Cons
Nothing really so far. It is more of a Text Based Interface. Nothing really fancy.
Summary
If you are not "Tech Savvy" FEAR NOT! Google for example terms in this you are not familiar with. You can successfully use this regardless of Exp. Just make certain on your "Allow" list, you put in "http://" before the URL. I'm going to have to experiment more for Sites like Facebook. Excellent product if you want more control of your Internet Flow.
I did wanna add in I do have to Tweak this Product when I'm on Facebook playing Games/Apps. Facebook has this thing with HTTP, and some games won't work through PeerBlock.

"Installed, but problems straight away."
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
No good points.
Cons
Installed Peerblock but it caused problems with Firefox. I could not access my Yahoo account and the add-on 'net usage item' stopped working. Didn't waste time trying to see what other problems Peerblock might have caused. Uninstalled immediately.
Summary
Only for those who might have the time to sort out issues caused by the program. Also hard to uninstall. Had to stop the process in task manager first.

"PeerBlock Is Better Than PeerGuardian."
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
So far i am loving PeerBlock much better than PeerGuardian.
Cons
I haven't found the feature that lets you add I. P. ranges manually.
Summary
I love PeerBlock, My only complaint is: i haven't found the feature that will allow me to add my own personal I.P. ranges i want blocked the way PeerGuardian would. I need to add I.P. ranges from China, Canada, and most important the UK. I have had nothing but trouble from these countries with people trying to invade my network and i would like to be sure they won't have access to my computer. PeerBlock is still excellent nonetheless, Its similar to PeerGuardian without all the crashes and failed updates.
Still a fan of PeerBlock, But i wish there was some way i could browse the internet with HTTP blocked. I'm assuming its impossible to browse with HTTP blocked for all internet browsers. With HTTP enabled a few people with China and UK ip addresses have seeped through to UDP and TCP flood me. But PeerBlock has been a big help overall!

"great bit of software, very easy to set up."
Version: PeerBlock 1.1
Pros
as others have said, very unobtrusive, easy to set up.
Cons
cant think of any cons at this point.
Summary
its the first time i have used this, and was very easy to set up, first thing it did when opened was update the lists.
