Version: Pdf995 Free Converter 1.1
"I've used this product for many years"
Pros: I don't need a PDF writer very often but when I do, for many years I have relied on PDF995. It always worked reliably for Win95, Win98, WinXP and now on WinVista. I don't mind the 2-step download - it's no problem once you catch on to the idea.
Cons: When I used this software for the first time on Vista, a web page ad popped up, which I handn't noticed before in older versions. Nevertheless, I still prefer this method of paying for the use of the product rather than other free PDF writers which actually insert a page of advertisement at the end of each converted document. That's why I'm still using PDF995 - 'cause they don't do that.

"Great for me, but most people would be better off with an ad free PDF writer"
Pros: I use this software with their omniformat software. It watches a folder and when anything is saved into that folder it converts it into a pdf doc.
I need to print PDF docs using VBA code (macros in excel) & still control the name & location of the doc. A macro saves the worksheet as TheNameIwant.xls to the watched folder, The code pauses for 10 seconds while TheNameIwant.xls becomes TheNameIwant.pdf, then it copies that file to the correct folder. I just couldn't find any other way when using Office 2003.
Cons: I didn't like the pop up ads, if you just want a standard pdf writer than there are plenty of free ones out there that don't have the ads. I liked the product so much for my purposes that I paid for a license - so no more ads, and the company certainly deserved my paid business.

Pros: It is a good and useful product.
I like this sotftware because it is easy to use and it doesn't need a lot of steps to make a conversion.Cons: There are a lot of advertisement after each conversion because the software isn't free.
There isn't a conversion from Pdf to Word documents. -

"A perfect, simple, easy, and free pdf generator for me"
Pros: I don't need a pdf write all the time, but when I do, I always use pdf995 Free version, it has always worked perfectly for me. I just simply "print" files from word or powerpoint, and it creates a nice pdf file me.
Cons: Install: I was confused at the 2-step process at first but the doc on site was good.
Doc Conversion: as I recall, if you are not connected to the internet, the sponsored ad might take a while to time out, but I really have not had any issues.Summary: I have used this product for several years and it has worked very well for me.
