"Bad Program, NO TECH SUPPORT!!!!"

April 07, 2010  |  By mbecker163

 |  Version: PdaNet for Treo 700p/755p/Centro 4.12

Pros

Free interenet access anywhere you have cellular service

Cons

Works for about a month, then trouble starts. disconnects after a minute of use. You have to uninstall, then reinstall. After a few times of this, you need to wipe your computer clean to get it to work again.

Summary

Can't get ANY tech support from developer. When forced to upgrade phone, no free (or low cost) upgrade available. THEY WANTED ME TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS MORE HASSLE THAN IT WAS WORTH ORIGINALLY!!! If the tech support would actually do their job, and the developer actually cared about it's customers, it would be great. good idea, and it does work. I researched this online, and this is a COMMON problem with this program. I would save your money!

"Great way to get on-line while on the road"

June 10, 2009  |  By daviddearie

 |  Version: PdaNet for Treo 700p/755p/Centro 4.12

Pros

Very easy setup
Excellent Speed (with Sprint) was able to stream a TV show from ABC. I had the "Paid" version for my Treo 650, but haven't used it in a long time. Glad this version was available for my Centro.

Cons

I have had absolutely no problems to report. I do hope they come out with a version for the Palm Pre, my Centro has been relegated to the Kitchen drawer.

Summary

I also have a data card with Sprint, but my wife was using it on our vacation. It was nice to still be able to go online, since our hotel wanted to charge $15 per day, per device to use their internet.
