Version: Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain 1.0
"Hours and hours and hours of fun"
Pros: You will play this game for eons. It never gets old, and there's always another way you can try to win with a different species you create. (easy strategy cheat - use transport hulls to build carriers for your fighters early on to dominate, before you can develop that hull technology)
Cons: I blame this game in particular for a C in my junior year (in 1998) dynamics class. I just couldn't put it down! Some bugs were also fixed in the patch available. Also, the end scene sucks. You just win. ("You have conquered the galaxy"). yay.

is there a sequel to this game??? something a bit more modern, but really - this game was way ahead of its time - kind of like a "Sim-Space"; great gameplay, and real-time space battles require alot of thought and maneuvering - Early on, you can outrun or "juke" missiles - but later, you have to rely on your empire management skills, technology and designs to win.
The shear amount of variables necessary to have a command of this game is staggerring - but ultimately gives you a divine sense of control. kudos to the designers 9 years ago having developed a game this thorough.
