"Great App. Great Password Management system"

    April 4, 2006  |   By weedus

    Version: Password Manager XP 2.1.324

    Pros

Can customize each record's fields. Can Customize keyboard shortcuts now. Can create custom printing templates. Never crashes, and I use it in multiuser mode constantly. We have multiple large DB's and never had any problems. The install to removeable device wizard allows you to carry your passwords with you without worrying about security. The app will run right off your thumbdrive, encryption and all. Great log file of password changes each user has made, also encrypted. Has easy to use backup and restore functions as well.

    Cons

Waiting for the ability to encrypt files with a password record. None.

    "well-designed and very stable"

    May 31, 2005  |   By ceharris414

    Version: Password Manager XP 2.1.296

    Pros

Supports multiple databases and users; excellent for IT environment where employees must share access to certain critical passwords. Multiple encryption mechanisms. Database backup and restore that really works! Have seen none of the stability problems reported by other users (running here on Windows XP).

    Cons

Would prefer to have more control over keyboard shortcuts and click actions for common copy and paste operations. Would like to PKI integration to eliminate need for common shared database encryption key.

"Looks nice, but yes, it crashes all the time."

    May 25, 2005  |   By ComputrGrl

    Version: Password Manager XP 2.0.286

    Pros

I like the way the program looks. It's nice and clean and I like the feature of having seperate databases...BUT...

    Cons

Every 4 out of 5 times I went to open a database, the program just froze. I had to close it using my task manager. This program definately has some serious issues to work out.

    "Garbage"

    May 7, 2005  |   By luvlace

    Version: Password Manager XP 2.0.286

    Pros

If you are a Ukrainian, you can use it in your native language.

    Cons

Unusable. Crashes every minute (windows 2000). Does not perform properly even the most basic tasks, like opening the existing database. It just freezes.

"This is the way software is suppose to work!"

    March 6, 2005  |   By Stephenhr

Version: Password Manager XP 2.0 build 274

    Pros

I spent a few hours reading and running free trials from Download.com. This program uses Blowfish, 3DES, Rijndael, Tea, Cast128, RC4, Serpent, Twofish at the same time and can generate passwords of 999 characters. The everyday operation is easy to use and easy to pickup. When I exported the entire program and files to one floppy disk, I was sold. That was V-1.0. V-2 is even easier to use, faster to operate and the same great customer service as before. You get personal responses within a day. The programmer has a gift! The software produces no comflicts, have very little overhead, and it's commercial free! This was written by a programmer that understands minimal keystrokes.

    Cons

This is really a positive, but you better grasp it: There is no backdoor. If you don't understand, read up. Isn't that what security is all about?
