Engrossing puzzle play makes Passage 3 Christmas Edition worth your time. Essentially, it breaks out the Clear mode from the full version of Passage 3, then dresses it up with Christmas images and music. As with the original game, each tile you place must match all of its neighbors in color (red, yellow, blue, orange, green, and purple) or picture. You start with 30 credits, losing some each time you place a tile incorrectly or discard a usable tile. The aim of this version is to remove designated tiles by filling up an entire row or column to form passages. The game ends after 45 minutes, but you can play as many games as you wish. The settings don't let you adjust the volume of the music and audio, which meant we had to turn off the MIDI carols instead of just turning down the volume. Other than that, Passage 3 Christmas Edition serves as an enjoyable stand-alone game, as well as a tempting free sample of the full game.Publisher's description
From GEKKO Software :This is the Christmas version of the game Passage 3, a game styled after dominoes, Tetris, solitaire, and Scrabble. The player places the tiles on the board according to a certain pattern. Tiles played must match the neighboring tiles in color or symbol. Version 2.6 features accelerated display routines for many systems; completely new Internet access routines for high-score upload and download; and significantly lower CPU load during the game when using Windows XP to avoid heat problems on very fast PCs.

"Once you start you can't stop!"
Pros: A very addicted game that takes you away from everyday things going on in your life and brings a calming moment that we need sometimes.

Pros: Combines strategy, speed, accuracy, & memory attributes for an excellent challenge to all. This just took priority over my chess game. This download is well worth the time and effort if you enjoy a strategy challenge.
Cons: Shutdown with a display fault when my virus or spyware programs tried to update def files, but was able to restart and resume the automatically saved games.
Dealt tiles appear to coincidently defeat winning as higher levels are achieved, given the supposedly same medium difficulty level, but I guess it should be expected. The Gekko website depicted someone achieved 50+ levels with tens of millions of points, which I can only perceive if a computer was playing the game. I achieved level 11 with 80,420 points, and I rested between starting a new level. The STOP time function only stops for about 1 or 2 seconds.

Version: Passage 3 Christmas Edition 2.6
Pros: I have a confession to make: I played this game in February. Who made the rule that this game is only for Christmas. I like it just as much as I liked the original Passage game.

"Having a great time playing this game!"
Pros: Playng with the Christmas like symbols doesn't bother me, but I did have to turn off the Christmas background music in the menu. It's a little hard to take in April. Love this game.
