Editors' reviewThis well-designed game lets you test your bowling skills in a tropical paradise. Party Bowling is set on a beach next to the ocean, with gently waving palm trees surrounding the lane. Graphically, the game is very polished, and the island-themed music really helps set the mood. You can either practice your skills in Challenge mode or take on one of a computerized opponents. The demo forbids access to most of the characters, locations, balls, and pin styles, but you can still adjust the music and sound effects. Aiming your ball and adjusting the power and spin of your shot is easy to learn but tough to master, so many players may find themselves quickly addicted. Besides disabling some of the features, the trial version only allows you to play for one hour; we would have at least preferred a full day. Nevertheless, Party Bowling should appeal to a wide array of gamers, particularly sports fans.
