Cheap. minimal system requirements
Where do I start?
I've been using this software for almost 2 years and I'm honestly thinking of going back to paper because of how terrible this program is. I tried. I really tried to like this application, but it seriously sucks. Here are the reasons:
1. It crashes. A lot. The updates will improve stability for a while, but the next update then breaks everything. Be prepared to yell at the software for losing half an hour's worth of scanning, sorting, etc often. It crashes when you try to combine documents. It crashes when you try to edit documents to rotate them. It crashes when you don't do anything at all.
2. Minimal support. Good luck with sending all your crash reports. No one follows up on them, and given the glacial update cycle, good luck getting any reproducible bugs fixed--if they don't make other areas of the app crash first. Seriously guys, do you even have a QA department?
3. The automated categorization/tags feature is useless. It's right less than 10% of the time.
Save your money and your sanity. Look elsewhere. I'm investing my next round of software upgrade funds on metal filing cabinets.
"Great Receipt & Document Manager"
Version: Paperless 2.3.3
auto-fills data from receipts
stores all kinds of files
no cloud support or iOS app
I think the other reviews here are either pretty harsh or for the 1.x version that came out years and years ago. This app is a workhorse for me and has pretty much every receipt for every single thing I've bought since 2010 as well as most all communications with banks, credit card companies, utilities, bills, warranties, etc..
