Summary
It is buggy and counter intuitive software. I can't imagine anyone who rated this with more than one star has ever purchased or attempted to use this software.
Easypano recently helped out a lot with some problems. Their customer support has improved significantly since my review. If I could redo it, I'd upgrade them to 3.5 stars for their recent assistance. I still don't like their licensing and activation process, but if the support is logical and reasonable from the customer perspective, it makes all the difference in the world.
The software is written in China and they have English and American fronts they pay to argue with users on their forums. Basically they ignore and delete anything that points out problems that need to be fixed. They don't offer bug fixes for free. They wait until thy have addressed a few and make you pay several hundred more just to address the bugs!
In my experience, I purchased the professional version which is the ONLY way to eliminate the logos and references to EasyPano so they can sell their software. They have the nastiest activation process I have ever dealt with...worse than Microsoft, Worse than Adobe! If you had to wipe out your email and reinstall windows you could lose the software completely...like happened to me. They won't reactivate without the serial number their outsourced sales group, Element 5, issues. Element 5 has a tendency to loose purchaser info and cook the books. Easy Pano will always take their statement over paultry buyer proofs like credit card receipts and reseller invoices. In the end, I paid a large sum of money for software Easy Pano will not activate after the first time. As if Windows runs forever and viruses never cause problems with systems. And nobody ever upgrades their computer or operating system. They know they do bad things, but do them anyway. I regret ever working with this software and the company that produces it...in China.
