  "Warning! Installs spam during setup!!"

  Pandora installed a coupon application without my permission. Without asking, it shut down Chrome so that it could install the spam. I thought the browser had crashed until I checked the Program and Features list in Win7 and discovered the app. Don't reward that behavior--the disk recovery tool didn't even work--it couldn't read data on the disk even though the disk was mounted and accessible.

  "Free to a certain extent !"

  It works but it is not the only one !

  Cons

  When the job is done ,you are blackmailed to pay in the gentle form of donation.I got angry and switched to "Recuva" also free and I felt really free ,then removed the last in order to avoid spy code !It is awful to be blackmailed !

  "Comes with Malware"

  Program is poor and simple. It shows only name, size and just crashed after more than about 3000 files was found to recover.

  Cons

  I downloaded Pandora Recovery using CNet safe download, and it installed to my PC in parallel some invisible programs without my permission. I've been only asked about to install Ask.net what I unchecked. Problem is that installed programs was very hard to delete: it appeared as several processes in memory, as windows service, and if you delete one, another piece of it apears again and again. As well folder of it can not be deleted. God bless I'm experienced user. But amateur users will get used by this unwanted and invisible new services.

  Summary

  I thought CNet is serious site and can not provide with bad things like this, especially using "secure download".

  "Success!!!"

  The program recovered my deleted files, easily and quickly.

  Cons

  Tried to install ask.com toolbar, easy to uncheck though.

  Summary

  My mom had somehow formatted her camera's SD card, and asked me to get the pictures back. The program I used to use for that is no longer supported, so I went in search for a new one. My search is over, now that I found Pandora Recovery. It found all the pictures it could, restored them quickly, and didn't mess around. Simple and successful, does what it says.

  "Worked as described!"

  - FREE!

  None so far at this point with program.
  Was promised access to another one of their programs (for free), after donation, but did not get the link.

  Summary

  I needed to recover many jpg files that had been deleted. After reviewing numerous other programs, and even trying one or two, Pandora Recovery did the job as best as could be done and did it rather quickly. I did donate to the company and was supposed to receive a link for another free program which I didn't, but felt the donation was worth it for the files I recovered.

  "Best SD recovery program out there!!"

  Please everyone donate to this wonderful company! I recovered some deleted work files in 5 minutes off an sd card that was erased. Couldn't be simpler and it works!

  lost files are a little hard to discern due to lost title information, but I don't thing any other software would do the same, and it recovers almost completely anyway!

  "Version 2.1.1 Inserts Spyware!"

  It undeleted my files, but every one was filled with spyware!

  Summary

  I accidentally deleted a file, using shift-Delete to bypass the Recycle bin. I immediately realized my error, so I came here and grabbed this to recover it. Less than 5 minutes later, it is installed and I recovered my Settings.cs file only to find this as the text that Pandora inserted into it:

  "It works!!"

  Pros

  It did a better job of recovering pictures than more complex shareware products I tried. It found files that some other programs didn't. It took a while but really scoured the card. In the end I found the pictures my daughter thought she lost, after trying two other products without success.

  Cons

  Probably because it does such a good job, there were hundreds, maybe thousands of files and fragments to review before I found what I was looking for. But how can the program know? (thats the only thing I could think of for a negative)
