"Worked incredibly well for RAW Camera Files (NEF)"

Pros
Easy to use, once I read the help section describing how to access uncommon file types. You can not use a deep scan for NEF files, as the deep scan looks for common preset file types. You can browse for them first, though.
Cons
None. Compared to another that only would allow you to recover the whole disk, rather than just a few files -- thus putting you over the 1 gb limit and then needing a $70 upgrade -- this one allowed me to just obtain the 5 files that weren't duplicated onto a backup card already.
Summary
I love this product already! I was downloading some event picture files, and thought I'd finished everything. Unlike my normal practice, I deleted the files (I normally reformat in-camera) and then realized I deleted 5 pictures of my wife and kids. They rarely sit still long enough for a "portrait" photo, so I wanted these back! This software was highly recommended by other users, and it was the 2nd one I tried. Well worth the time and effort, and I intend to send them a freeware donation to support their efforts.
One word of advice: if obtaining files that are not common, like Canon or Nikon RAW files, use the browse function. The initial indication is to use the deep scan since it is more thorough, but the deep scan does not search for RAW files. -

Didn't recover few files....But I can live with that! So can you! :)
You lost 100 files...this recovers about 85-95 of those. So your loss is minimized to 5%!! If you are lucky you might land a Full recovery Tada!!Summary
After having tried so many commercial programs, which did half the job, it was such a joy discovering this 'Genius of a freebie'.
Those were not just pics....they were memories of events really special! So this really did a lot not just as a tech tool but as a guardian of my memories.
I was red face and all in tears having lost my dear photos.
This li'l app put the smile back on my face.
Thank God for Pandora.

A snap to use, in about 2 minutes I had identified the files I was looking for... within 10 minutes they were recovered and I was working on them.

IT IS ABLE TO SEE THE DRIVE, BUT DOESNT GET TO OPEN ANYTHING. AND I KNOW FILES ARE THERE, JUST THAT OTHER APPS ASK FOR MONEY, AND I CANT AFFORD IT.

Works just as well as the expensive commercial software that I did not have with me when I lost some critical files on the road. Pandora recovered them just as quickly as the the expensive app does.
Cons
The time remaining shown during scanning is wrong. It's free, get over it :)

"Crashes too much"

Found all my external drives. Started to recover my files almost at once. I like the photo preview feature.
Cons
Crashes all the time at 2 to 4% of scan. Once program crashes, there is no way to recover the files that it has found. They are gone...again.
Summary
Scanned a 750G hd. Said 26+ hours to do the scan. OK, will leave and do other things. Came back and the program had crashed somewhere around 2-4%. Found 33801 files that I could not copy to another drive. Needs a Pause button so you can copy the files it has found and then resume the scan. Only has a STOP button. After you stop and copy the files it has found, the program starts over. Have uninstalled, downloaded and reinstalled 4 times with same problem. Would be 5+ stars if it would not crash and loose all the files it has found. Sent crash report to author but have heard nothing from them about the problem.

None..it worked like a charm.
Summary
I read in these reviews that different tool bars were installed. That only happens if you don't uncheck the option. Also, I first tried to do the 'deep scan' or something like that. This option didn't work for me. The first (or default) option is what worked like a charm. I'm so happy my photos were found.
