Version: Pando 1.0.0.2
"a very slow baby"
Pros: Does what it says, but you could also watch grass grow.
Cons: It's a son of a gun to delete, it will interfere with your start-up program and will not take "NO" for an answer.
Cant recommend it.

When a user chooses to install the Outlook plug-in Pando will open when the user is sending an email with Outlook. This is because the Pando process needs to be available if the user selects to send files that exceed their file size limit for Outlook. However, in the current release (1.4x) when a user turns off the Outlook Plug-in in the Pando Options then the Pando application will no longer launch when Outlook is opened. The user has to launch Pando manually to send files that exceed the file size limits set in Outlook.

On Windows:
1) Be sure you have shut down Pando completely and all applications in which you have installed Pando plug-ins (e.g. Internet Explorer [for web mail], Outlook, and Skype). Note: If you do not have all of the related applications shut down before removing Pando then the removal process will not be complete.
To shut down Pando completely click on the Pando icon in your system tray and select "shut down Pando completely" from the menu.
2) Open your control Panels
3) Select Add/Remove Programs
4) Select Pando
5) Click remove
6) If removing Pando completely and you do not plan to reinstall it, when prompted, select the option to remove all files completely.

Your three "cons" are exactly what I DON'T WANT on my computer. Thanks for the "reality check" after reading the positive review of the CNET editor.

I must agree. When it works as advertised, it is great (kind of like the airlines). But it will completely ignore your explicit directions regarding "startup when Windows starts" and it also forces its way into your Outlook functionality without permission. Merely clicking on the appropriate checkboxes in the Pando options section fails to stop this invasive behavior.
The Pando folks have been aware of this for at least 3 months, but they have not addressed these issues in subsequent versions. Nonetheless, they really do have something to be proud of, as soon as they eliminate the hijacking-type behavior.
