"It's Crap! It didn't help me!"
Version: Panda Anti-Rootkit 1.08
Pros
None! What more to say!
Cons
My computer has the "globalroot" "windowsclick" virus. This program did not locate it or eliminate it.

Try a different program. This one won't likely help. The one star rating is mandatory for the website.

"Very good, quick scans, in depth also fast."
Version: Panda Anti-Rootkit 1.08
Pros
Easy install, quick scan runs quickly, does its job. In depth takes not much longer but may require a reboot before it is done.
Cons
Nothing, it appears to do its job with minimun fuss and bother.

"GREAT ROOTKIT DETECTOR..BUT"
Version: Panda Anti-Rootkit 1.08
Pros
It's Free. Highly rated by industry testing sites. Very small. Easy to use. My experience is that it is a stable program.
Cons
First, anyone who complains about Panda Anti-Rootkit conflicting with Win Defender needs to wake up! What DOESN'T conflict with Defender!! This program, AVG, Norton, etc. Main Problem: Changes Internet settings in memory with In-depth scan.
Summary
I really liked this program's simplicity. A zip file you click on and use On-Demand. Highly rated in industry tests for accuracy. I found it to be a stable program.
However, after running a standard scan, I thought I would try the in-depth scan. i clicked on it and rebooted as instructed. It found no rootkits, no surprise. However, when I closed the program and went to launch explorer, my firewall popped up and said that my Internet settings in memory had been changed by Panda so Panda could always seek updates. I was mad. I denied the connection.
Tried explorer again and the same thing happened. Then I tried Firefox. Same problem. It attatched itself to my internet connections and wouldn't let go. I deleted it. Took me 20 minutes to restore my ability to go on the net. That pissed me off. No simple free program should try to be a smart a$$ like that. I'll just stick with Avira Rootkit detection from now on. Please use Panda Anti-Rootkit for standard scans only. The in-depth scan isn't without a catch. -

Version: Panda Anti-Rootkit 1.08
Pros
Simple to dowload, through. This free program carries no "baggage" .
Cons
Nothing easy to download. Have used both programs. No problems!
Summary
You could not purchase such a good product - much less get it for free.
-
"Horrible experience! Shame on Panda."
Version: Panda Anti-Rootkit 1.08
Pros
Liked nothing.
Cons
Refused to run, tried 7 - 8 times, hung each time, and several of those times I had to re-boot to get control back.
Summary
This isn't like the Panda of old days, what gives with them, I read other reviews, and other people had problems, some worse than my experience.
