Version: Palm Desktop 4.1.4
"This worked with Win XP Media Edition!"
Pros: the app here is a little different than the version offered on the Palm One website - the version i downloaded there said it wouldn't work with win xp media edition or xp pro ... and it didn't ... but this version did work.
Cons: i downloaded this because i misplaced my CD, and it's kind of lame that there is no way to get the apps that came with the CD (my Photo viewer is messed up, so now i am without images).

"One of the best programs for the Mac"
Pros: The ability to see contacts by memorized categories allows you to see a group of names associated with a particular project without having to see all your Christmas list etc also. The ability to link anything with anything lets me connect memos to people's name and address card. On the memo I keep information about my last contact so I'm always up to date and ready for the next contact.

"Doesn't work very well with Vista"
Pros: Palm Desktop 4.1.4 does an adequate job of tracking contact and calendar information in Vista. I don't sync my Palm so I can't comment on hotsync performance.
Cons: The calendar alarms are unreliable in Vista. No problems under Windows 2000 pro. Specifically, when I put my Vista computer into sleep mode overnight, any alarms that pass while the computer is asleep get skipped. Furthermore, the alarm executable often dies or I have to manually restart it in order for alarms to work. I upgraded to Palm Desktop by Access 6.2.2 and these problems don't occur. While the upgrade went smoothly and alarms work correctly, this software isn't without its own set of annoyances. Overall, however, the 6.2.2 version works better for me on Vista.

Version: Palm Desktop 4.1.4
Pros: It integrates with my Treo (doh... isn't that what it is supposed to do ? )
Calendar is its best part, but editing is not
Cons: This is just an old revamped application. The fields are limited, the search is awful, the editing is awful... I wish I could get away from Palm... the only reason I continue is because I have all my contacts in there.
