    "A real Pain to install"

    January 14, 2013  |   By JohnMoore2013

    Pros

    None !!!!!

One day you we might be able to install a program WITHOUT 3 tuns of unwanted extras.

This loads stacks of other addon browser hyjacks and IM addons

    Cons

I joined just to let you know that this program installs loads of other stuff that latches on to your browser and tags onto your IM programs.

With all the unwanted browser toolbars, defaulting of Home page and search be prepared to spend hours trying to get rid of all this stuff.

There is NO option not to install the extra programs that install with this download.

    Summary

Might be good..... but too much unwanted extras loaded. Not worth spending hours uninstalling extras, and then running malware scanning and registry fixes.

I have to agree with "richteral's" reply quoted:

I, too, have been using Paint.NET for numerous years since it first came out, and have never seen any bloatware / malware / tool bars or what have you included in the download, when downloading from their main homepage at
http://www.getpaint.net/ or when going through CNET.
Paint.NET takes the best of PaintShop Pro, PhotoShop, Gimp as well as several other Digital Photo / Digital Graphic editing programs and includes them all in to one small downloadable sized excellent Graphic/Photo editing software program.

PROS: one of the best if not the best Digital Photo/Graphics editing programs that one can obtain for FREE with no bloatware/toolbars
    CONS: NONE
    SUMMARY:
try this out, you will soon realize you do not have to spend hundreds or more for those name brand products that actually load files on your OS that "will" cause conflicts and headaches..
    Hope This Review Is Helpful

Very strange - and unwarranted. I have been using Paint.NET for years, and there never was any trouble of the sort you describe. It would be worth going direct to their site & download from there. The software is brilliant & you get it free of charge, which is close to amazing. In fact, the developers deserves kudos for their work, and every penny in donation they get.
