Its alot like photoshop.

Its alot like photoshop. I know i am in the minority but I like Microsoft digital imaging pro. I am kind of old & set in my ways and I just prefer Microsoft over photoshop. I guess I will have to switch if I am going to upgrade because microsoft stop selling their product so i'll just get used to Photoshop. But to the reason I'm here. Paint.net is alright but just not good enough to convince me to switch from microsoft.

It's almost like Microsoft's Paint except it has more options and doesn't kill your picture's qualities and colors when saving (which MS Paint does.) Small in size, and uses very little memory. Actually worth the download especially if you have a slow computer, or if your Photoshop is not being reliable or takes too long to start up!

After 6 months of use on this I can tell you it is just as capable at gfx as Photoshop, its just quite a bit more time consuming due to the lack of bloated canned features. PS is awesome but PDN is definitely just as cool.

Pros
For someone with relatively little graphics experience, this is a great tool. Easy to crop, change colors, and do basic manipulation. It might even be great for professionals, but I have no idea.
Cons
The only thing I don't think is great is the slightly annoying upgrade prompts.
