I would suggest this program as an equal alternative to some of the BIG brand equivalents. But, can't afford the space on their drives. Some of the other Paint programs are way over bloated, with stuff that some would never use.

Pros
This program handles just about everything, easily. It is by far the easiest Graphics program I have ever used.
Cons
The Save in Paint.net cannot change the format for the save permanently. I save in .jpg always, it can be universally used. Trouble is it always wants to save in another format, that is seldom used.
Summary
If you have trouble learning how to use your graphics program, download Paint.net. You will not br sorry.

I like using Paint, the more I use it the more familiar and easier it becomes to use.

I find it very difficult to find plugins. It would be nice if there was one place to go and get all of the Paint.com plugins.

I really like the functionality of Paint.net, but every time it updates, it installs a bunch of extra junk.

It has a much more variety of tools than MS Paint. I like the invert colors adjustment.

Needs a better interface and icon.

I recommend this product over any art products. (I did not say any art editing programs like photoshop)
