"PROMT does not link with office 2010 in windows 7"
Version: PROMT Professional Translator Multilingual Pack 9.0
Pros
At least works better than online tools. Something i've been looking for a while is good integration with internet browsers. In this case, with Firefox it sets a new bar with simple interface that translates well ( finally i can translate big pages )
Cons
it does not integrate with office 2010 in my pc. I don't know if this is a problem in my pc or if that is standard. It won't translate pdf's from internet browser. It won't integrate with Nitro PDF
Summary
( i don't have Acrobat installed) To transalte pdf's you must input pdf file location, and it will output it as doc file. ( not very good)
Dont expect professional or pristine translations.

"Product itself is great, but support is non-existent"
Version: PROMT Professional Translator Multilingual Pack 9.0
Pros
The 9.0 version is very useful, and I am very pleased with it. This software is particularly useful if the user is a non-native speaker trying to learn one of the supported languages (in my case, Russian).
Cons
After-sale support is abysmal, if non-existent. If you have a problem or a question, you're on your own.
Summary
The software itself is developed in Russia, and there is a West Coast sales office here in the United States. Two months ago, I purchased both the translation software and a "dictionary collection" add-on. An activation code is required to unlock each. When the activation code for the dictionary collection software did not work, I tried phoning the company and could never reach an actual human being; my only option was to leave voicemail. I never once received a call back. Repeated e-mails to the company only resulted in machine-generated responses (each with a different name) that not only failed to address the problem, but gave no indication that anyone had actually read my rather straight-forward e-mails (i.e., "I cannot unlock the software using the unlock code you provided."). My next step is to try and contact the main office in Russia. If they do indeed help resolve this problem, I will come back and modify my review.
