"forget the laws of physics..."
Version: Pre-Flight 2.1F
It sometimes works. 8^)
Unreliable, unrealistic, poor perspective, poor "physics."
Appears to me to be an amateur attempt to program a simulator. Half the time the controls go crazy, but I sometimes get it to work. I have spent several hours trying to make a model that feels anything like a real RC heli. Any time I change a heli setting with the software the sim crashes and has to be restarted. Hours of tx programming has not helped much either. This thing just doesn't model what the real world feels like with an RC heli! The models accellerate from zero to unrealistically fast in the blink of an eye. I have about 30 degrees of pitch in my sim model and only part throttle. That we could get that kind of performance in the field! 8^) I should have spent more and bought a name brand. That's what I have to do now. Stay away!Oops - not 30 degrees of pitch. 30% of the pitch curve I copied for the sim model from my Trex 500 in the radio. So probably about +/- 4 degrees. Point is this doesn't come close to being useful to practice flying skills for me. But others appear to have a different experience, so you mileage may vary. I have owned 3 other simulators but they were earlier generation so not useful to compare to this realy. FWIW the NHP sim of 10 years ago seemed better than this one. Bottom line is I am sorry I bought preflight...
